5.0 out of 5 stars oh man!!!! Addicting!
My all time favorite game is World Of Outlaws 2002 from Ratbag for the PS2. I still play that game religously everyday....until now!

This is pretty much an updated version of the 2002 game. Its a BLAST!!! And $20 ! WOW. The graphics are just right, not amazing but very realistic and just fine for my taste. The sound of the cars in unbelievable! The mud flying...

This game is gonna get played at my house until it burns up because it is awesome. I would of gladly paid $50 for this game.

MUST BUY!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Fix for Dirt Track Game Fans, March 7, 2010

If you are a fan of Sprint car racing, you need to get this game. Its well worth the $20. If you dive into the game not expecting a Forza Motorsports 3 presentation and gameplay, you will be just fine. That being said, the game will provide lots of fun for racing fans who like to get sideways. The graphics are similar to the 2002 Ratbag Playstation 2 version. When i am going into a turn three abreast, I am not paying much attention to how nice the rims look on the car next to me. The controls and physics seem accurate, but don't purchase a steering wheel. The wheel is very slow to respond and is pratically useless(Xbox steering wheel works great with Forza but not with this game). In career mode the difficulty is not too challenging, but will provide practice for XBox live which is much tougher. The career mode features Accuracy, Time and Speed challenges along with the standard track events. As far as the challenges, the Time ones are the most difficult. Career mode also provides a garage to upgrade your car very similar to the 2002 version. This game also includes an arcade mode which is more challenging than career mode. There is no difficulty setting in career mode. There are also about 47 accomplishments to achieve. What sets this game apart from the 2002 Sprint car racing is the online feature. I am a big fan of the World of Outlaws and to me this is the best dirt track game out there.

This game is as good as I've played for dirt track racing. The track changes as it goes and is very challenging to play which is a good thing.I started out in rookie and usually you can win every race from the start ,not so with this game it takes some some hours of playing to get a good feel. The cheap price scared me a little bit but the $20 is the best $20 I've spent.Grafics are good sound is good all in all I think this game is a taste of the real dirt track experience, all you need is some clay dust and methenol fumes and you would think your there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, but no steering wheel support, March 2, 2010

Just bought WoO for the Xbox. At first try out of the box I was excited, but soon found that a steering wheel is not supported. I found this hard to believe, so I emailed THO and they responded "Steering wheels are not supported for this game. We apologize for the inconvenience." I express my disappointment and asked that it be fixed in a patch if possible. As I told them a racing game without wheel support is like a dairy farmer that don't drink milk. I'm playing with the control pad and can see the game has potential, but without being able to adjust the sensitivity and or the wheel lock, it's pretty hard to control. The game does responds to a steering wheel, IOW gas, brake work, but the steering has way too much play, almost 4-6 inches left to right before it kicks in. Being an old dude that has little experience with the smaller joystick on the control pad, I have been having a hard time, my son who is used to the controllers has a little better luck. But still when you are in the pack it is very difficult to keep from over steering. If you like racing with a joystick you can have some fun with this game. Lot's of excitement and the physics seem pretty good, if you can control it. With a properly config. steering wheel I think the game would be a blast. I hope that a fix is possible. My recommendation is simple, if you play with a stick buy it, but if you like the feel of a wheel in a racing game your not going to be happy. I'd probably pass if I had it to do over.

I like this game, but I have had some issues with glitches here and there. I do like the fact you can tune the cars, buy upgrades, and actually have to try to be consistent. I like it and would recommend to anyone that likes dirt oval racing. Fast shipping as well from this seller.

Not a bad game, but not a very good one, either. It doesn't look or control very well (especially compared to other racers), but you ARE racing on dirt tracks. It's really too bad that this is the only option for us sprint car fans; and those fans are the only ones that should buy it.
