If you like Marillion, IQ, Pallas and post-Waters Pink Floyd, you will like this album a lot.

The playing is very good and tasetful. Nick Barret is a very good guitarist that knows where and how to put his guitar solos.

The album is full of nice melodies and themes.

What do I mean by wake up? The state of music right now is in desperate need for an artistic boost. Pendragon seems to be that, all too rare, combination of good musical ability and easy to listen to songs. Try listening to The Last Waltz, and not remembering the refrain.I hope their music can gain some kind of US audience. It would be a shame to think that whiny-voiced lilith fair ladies and teeny bopper pap is all that the listener has available. I remember when FM radio was an outlet for new music. Ah the good old days. Buy This cd and give it a try. Music isn't dead it's just hidden. Dave

This is the first CD that I got of this band and it is an enjoyable listen. SHANE is a great heartfelt tune. I love the guitar work of Barret who channels a Pink Floyd sound. Nolan is also present on keys...that should make anyone want to purchase this.

If you've never listened anything about Pendragon, this album is the beST beginning. Almost all songs are espectacular, The Voyager , And We'll Go Hunting Deer , Shane , Back In The Spotlight , Prayer, Sister Bluebird , Queen Of Hearts: The Last Waltz are wonderful. I bought WINDOW OF LIFE - BONUS TRACK (excellent too), BELIEVE and THE MASQUERADE OVERTURE. All of them are great, but THE WORLD and WINDOW OF LIFE are 5 stars.

I am not a fan of the band but I enjoyed this cd very much.
Very melodic, no filler on this cd, only great prog music.
This album has something special, it is very quiet and it makes me feel good, that's all I want when I listen to an album and this cd deliver !
If you like the old Genesis (Gabriel era, Yes, I.Q and The Flower Kings, you should love this album.
