My 3 year old daughter LOVES Peter Rabbit and has other Peter videos, but when we watched this one the others paled in comparison! The scenery, animation, music and voices are beautiful and the story is told very well. Great video!

Peter Rabbit & Benjamin Bunny is a fantastic children's video. My 18 month year old loves it. We watch it at least three times a week. The length (roughly 25 minutes) is appropriate for children's attention spans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings to life the world of Beatrix Potter, November 12, 2003

This review is from: The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends ~ The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Peter Rabbit, and his three sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail are seen off by their mother to go pick blueberries, for their mother's kitchen, but Peter Rabbit has other ideas.
He decides to sneak into Mr. McGregor's garden, where he soon finds himself fleeing for his life.
He does not want to end up like his father, who was put in a pie by Mrs. McGregor.
This video brings to life the world of Beatrix Potter.
The artist of the animations must certainly have studied the movements and way of rabbits to capture them so perfectly, and what was also captured beautifully was the English countryside in a better, simpler time.
The music is also wonderful, particularly the last two songs.
The Foxy Gentleman Song is marvelous, and the animations during the song, fit it perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Animated Version, January 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends ~ The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video has nothing to do with ballet. It is a wonderful Animated version of Beatrix Potter's stories entitled "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny". The 2 books are tied together to make one continuous story that has common rabbit characters such as Peter Rabbit. Also pairing these two stories together helps tie up all the loose ends from reading them independantly; ie. at the end of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Peter has lost his clothes while escaping Mr. McGreagor garden; In the Benjamin Bunny part of the video Peter & his cousin Benjamin endevour to get Peter's clothes back off of the scarecrow in Mr. McGregor's garden.

The song used in this video is absolutely beautiful. Voices for the characters are distinctly perfect. Warm English feel to it. I can watch it over and over just like my 2 and a half year old.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best animation of the tales ever made, April 4, 1999

This review is from: The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends ~ The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The "Peter Rabbit & Friends" video series is beautifully animated that stays true to the water color paintings of Beatrix herself. Although dialog in the films deviate slightly from the original stories to fill gaps or add life, they inhance instead of distracting from the storyline. Wonderful films recommended for ages 1-100.
