I love these books and so does my daughter. We did purchase the Great Big Treasure edition and she didn't like the stories because she had too many pictures on a page to deal with. We got a couple of the small ones on tape at the library and she loved them. The language is rich, the characters are adorable (they are really just little people with fur), and the illustrations are extremely artistic. Not like some of the cartoony junk getting published today. If you're looking for dumbed down kids cartoon books like Dora the Explorer, this isn't for you, but if you want stories with imagination, told with rich language, these are timeless classics.

When our two-year-old grand-daughter opened the package and found the darling "suitcase" of miniature books, there were squeals of delight. From all the adults who were familiar with Beatrix Potter. She, of course, doesn't yet know. But it's a fine gift to give, knowing she will find out for herself.

The Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit tales were some of my favorite stories during childhood. I purchased this collection for my child.

It is truly a beautiful collection edition. I love how the books are the perfect size for small hands. The reproductions of Potter's illustrations are elegant and true to life.

Beatrix Potter's stories are intelligent, heartwarming, and fun classics. They are a great educational tool for children. I highly recommend this edition and the companion box set of stories 13-24.

And I've been told by her mother to get the rest of the stories for her birthday. What a joy!

We were very disappointed in this item and returned it. It is described as being 13.2 x 10.0 x 7 inches when it actually measures 6 x 5.5 x 4.5 inches. It you are looking for a nice little item to put on a shelf - this is it. If you are looking for books for a child to handle and enjoy, these are too small.
