This is a pretty good handheld version of Texas Hold'em. The only problem is that sometimes the computer will beat you with a hand that is clearly lower than yours. Example: computer will have two pair 9's and 8's(off suit), and you will have a flush, and the computer will beat you. It kinda defeats the purpose of the game really. I am just waitng to see if the computer can beat me with a a pair when I have a royal flush! Good luck

Nice compact device. Fits comfortably in a dress shirt pocket. Recommended. One of the best handheld games I've ever purchased.

I haven't seen the device make "win" mistakes like someone else mentioned. I've improved my game at least a little bit by using it.

If you buy it, read the instruction manual carefully, cause I missed out on some features of the machine until I went back and re-read the instructions a few months after I got the device.

New computerized players rotate in quite a lot, so it's a little hard to develop play based on interaction with the other players.

A week after I got it, it stopped working (wtf?!), but I opened up the battery compartment (with a phillips head screwdriver), wiped the battery, and haven't had any problems since.

All in all, this is a great little machine, and I'd be bummed if I ever lost it or if it broke. That being said, if I were to do it over again, I might consider getting the slightly more advanced model by Radica that's about the same price and includes % win rates for your hands. A nice feature. The one downside here is that this model may well be bigger than this little one, so it may be less portable. I'd take compact over chunky.

Got this for a present for someone. Right out of the box, it failed to work. Was not very well made and the buttons got stuck when you pushed them. Some features did not work at all. Returned it for full refund. Very disappointed. Nothing worse than a Christmas Present you have to return by mail.

This game plays well. It is a virtual tournament with computer players entering and leaving a table when broke. If you play well, long enough it comes down to a showdown with you and the one remaining computer player. It is great fun to play and semms to simulate players of different styles fairly well. I would have given it 5 stars except for concerns about the quality of the hardware.

I first saw these at Wal Mart. The packaging allows you to try the game in the store. I had to try five different units to find two that worked. The other three were completly dead. I bought the two working units for Christmas presents. On one of them, the check/call button quit working within a month. That only leaves one of the five I looked at in proper working condition.

I ordered this item for myself. After opening the item I found that it did not function. I even purchased and installed a new battery with similar results. Very disappointed with this experience.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY STEP DAD.HE HAD LIVER CANCER AND WAS ON KEMO SO HE WOULD TAKE THIS DOWN TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE FOR HIS KEMO TREATMENTS.HE LOVED THIS GAME HE SAID IT WAS VERYGOOD AND CHALLANGING.IT HAD MULTI PLAYERS ON THE TABLES MADE IT MORE INTERESTING.HE HAD THIS BY HIS BED IN THE HOSPITAL TILL HE PASSED AWAY. PLAYED IT ALL THE TIME WENT THROUGH LOTS OF BATTERIES .HE SAID HE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH WORKED GREAT.

This broke after playing if somewhat extensively for a few days. Some of the hands dealt, when it was working properly, were a bit unbelievable.

The screen is difficult to "read", kinda low-tech, but it's working & the person who received it as a gift plays it all the time!

This game is really worth getting whether you know how to play Texas Hold'em or want to learn how to play. Easy to use and learn and many great features.
