I looked at this lamp for quite some time. I assumed that it may be something you see in a "junk" imports shop, but decided to take a chance when I recieved some gift money and order it for my Moroccan themed bedroom. I was not disappointed.

The glass is beautiful, textured and has a very deep coloration. The metal seems sturdy and didn't have marks and scratches. The door to open the candle chamber lined up with the hinges and opens/closes easily with with just enough resistance to keep it closed.

It is designed to be used as either a hanging candle holder (tea light) or can be used standing on a flat surface. There are loops to hang it by, but you will need to get chain separately.

Another bonus was that I ordered 3 different lamps from this same company and they combined my shipping charges. I paid the same shipping for 3 that I would have for one.

I used these as the centerpiece for my daughters wedding with rose petals scattered around. They looked great. Very nicely made. I used the battery tealights that flicker and then there was no mess inside. Lots of compliments on how beautiful.

This lantern looks more expensive than it is. Sure, it's not made of the finest materials or constructed as solidly as something you'd buy in a boutique, but you'd only notice this if you examined it closely. For its size, depth of color, and design, it's a real bargain. **This review was written when the price of the item was under $5.**

I bought this to go with my world theme for my house. I have seen others like it at the world market, but not in this color. It is nice for outside candle lite and a warm touch to any home.

Door to put the candle in seems to be lopsided/does not close correctly.. the glass panels fall out very easily.. and the blue is nothing like the picture, it is a very light blue tinge that does not tint the candlelight blue at all.

This is nicely constructed and has a beautiful unique glass color. Although shipping is pretty high, the overall price is worth the atmosphere you will get with this lantern. I use tea candles and it is really pretty. Shipping was excellent with solid packing.

This lantern came EXACTLY as described, which was great for me! I was a little worried about the color description "cobalt blue," as cobalt blue is actually a shade between royal and navy blue. I hoped the lantern glass would be closer to the teal in the picture, and it is--a lovely dark turquoise (teal) color. I am using it as decor on my wall units to complement my collection of articles from around the world, and since my husband is from the Middle East, I am thrilled to have this piece in my home! When considering the dimensions, keep in mind that the 10 1/4" height includes the overall height (to the top of the hanger ring). I would classify this lantern as fairly small, but it is perfect for my needs.

This lantern does look more or less as it is depicted here. The glass in the panels is real, heavy glass. Beyond that, however, it is not a very good product. While the panels are real glass, they were cut very poorly, so that the pattern in the glass is neither straight nor uniform from panel to panel. The metal is cheap and thin, and the door is difficult to open, and even more difficult to close properly, which is particularly problematic when one is attempting to close the door while there is a burning tea light in the lantern. I would only recommend this lantern to someone who wants it strictly as a decoration and has no intention of ever opening it or using it for its intended purpose. If, however, you want both form AND function, I would recommend that you spend a little more money on a better, more functional, lantern.

Much smaller than I thought it would be, but survived shipping wonderfully and has a place on my desk during the nights when the light is soothing. So far no cracking or heat tension from the scented tea lights I use.

I ordered two lamps. I was looking for a candle holder and actually wanted a blue candle. When I saw this lamp it actually fit my needs. I bought the flickering tea lights and with the Styrofoam insert it fit very nicely. The price is right and the quality is so much better than expected! I have it on my desk right now.
