As a parent buying this book for my student's summer course, it was agony spending nearly $120 for a book that could only be used once. The book contains an online access code that can't be transferred to another student. The second user would have to purchase his own access code for an additional $60. Without the access code, the student can't access the website where exams and communication with the instructor take place. What a underhanded way to make a lot of money! This method of taking advantage of students should not be allowed to continue. The resale value of this book is extremely low.

I saw that a lot of people had written in their reviews how ridiculous it was for them to charge so much for the textbook as well as the online MyPsychLab access code.
I took this course a few semesters ago and have decided to resale my book. Having originally thought that I didn't use "MyPsychLab", I thought it would be easier on someone else trying to save some money. Much to my surprise; however, I did actually use the access code.

I just talked to a customer service representative and he said it's possible to *change* the username and password to an account. In other words, you might be able to access the MyPsychLab if you purchase a used book without having to shell out another $60...just ask your seller. All they would need to do is change their username, email address and password listed in MyPsychLab, tell the buyer (you) the changes, and then you would have to do the same.

I bought my book used, without the online access code since it can only be used once. However, if you don't need the online access code, it's really a great book that explains everything well. I have no complaints about the book itself, the problem isn't the book, it's the seller. Make sure you know if you're getting a usable code if you are buying this book used. Otherwise, don't buy it. It's that simple.

it wasn't a terrible textbook either. I think some textbooks required for college can be written in such a dull manner, and this one definitely was a bit boring. Some of it was written well enough, but it wasn't enough to pull you in to see how interesting psychology is. I love psychology, but this textbook didn't show how great it is. I definitely enjoyed the other psychology book I read (which is also for introduction to psychology). It's called Invitation to Psychology. That textbook is much more interesting, has some humor, and is well written. Those authors pull you in and make psychology as the great, interesting & entertaining topic that it is. If your class requires this textbook, you better hope your professor is awesome. Unfortunately, the professor who used this book was just as boring as the book.

Upon purchasing this item, it took a long time to receive it in the mail. Once it arrived, it only contained one book out of the whole set. The inital information in the product description was very misleading It did not come with all the portable books or the MyPsychLab Course Compass. However the seller has agreed to give a full refund once I return the book.

Got the books just in time for studing. Although I didn't expect there to be 6 books, but it was ok. Overall great quality of the books.

They did not give me the complete textbook. I had to return it, however they did refund all my money.

The book was exactly as advertised if not better. The wear to the outside case was very minimal and the books on the inside were flawless. Would definatly do business again!

I purchased this set of psychology books for a class and they are very well written. I have enjoyed reading through the material because it is written so that it is easy to understand.
