As usual, the WRTH is the best in it'slass. It is considered a "bible"for all DX'ers worldwide. The improved version is the best yet. It is an exhaustive indexe that are as accurate as possible with free updates availabe on the net. The reviews do leave something to be desired, since it is from a European perspective. I have also kept all those from 1973 since they are useful as a reference. It is well worth the expense. Any one interested in
Radio broadcasts cannot be successful without this tool.

I find this year's edition, 2006 , to be of high standards as always. I am amazed at the effort put into the making of this yearly publication. Can't remember the first WRTH I purchased, but it sure made an impression on me .
I do enjoy the receiver reviews . This is always valuable info.
But station by station info is very extensive . All over, this is a great book to keep by the receiver and good reading anytime, any place . Keep up the great works .

If you are a shortwave listener, this is the book to have. While the latest broadcasting schedules can be found online, this is the most complete and authoritative book covering radio/TV broadcasting throughout the world. The WRTH contains a wealth of technical information and statistical details simply not found together in any other publication. Think of it as the Merck Manual of radio and television. If there is only one book you buy to help you get the most out of this hobby, this is the one.

Perfect companion book to compliment "Passport to world band radio." A must for the SW listener.

If you don't have this or the 2007 guide and Passport to World Band Radio, well, you have squat! Buy 'em NOW!

WRTH has long been a very valuable tool for the broadcast professional who has dealings with the international industry. Details of the fifth estate of the world are clearly detailed, also including the different stations and organizations from all corners of the planet. But there are many more facets to this book. Reviews of shortwave receivers are clearly useful for the avid DX'er. Information about digital radio and TV also help keep one abreast of that's happening there. If broadcasting is your bag, or if you just want a good, up-to-date resource to help you find that elusive shortwave station, the annual issues of this fine book are your best choice.

Once again , the WRTH proves itself as indispensible for listeners of all bands. A must have by your radio.

I have been interested in shortwave radio for 50 plus years. This handbook is quite helpful when searching for information concerning a particular radio station. I have owned several of them over the years. I think the handbook would make an excellent addition to any one interested in shortwave radio. It would be a nice gift also, either to give or receive. The book provided the information that I was looking for plus additional information concerning other radio transmissions that was a bonus. An informative book containing a world of information.
