old book; don't think you can buy an old edition and be okay -- because you can't.Otherwise, the book was fine -- it's hard to ruin a book, unless you like soak it in the tub or something. But it's not at all similar to proceeding editions (i've had to buy them both now). If your geography teacher says to buy a newer edition, (s)he's not just trying to make you spend lots of extra money; there's stuff about recent events and extra aral-sea information in the newer one, plus two new authors... so i guess it's important.
