Fantastic Game,

I was excited when I finally got my copy of the new Winning Eleven series. I owned WE8 for the last couple of months and immensely enjoyed it. WE9 is no different. There seems to be some difference in game controls but the game play stays the same. I think they followed the "if ain't broke do not fix it" which works with WE series. I noticed that the shots became a bit more sensitive to the touch and more powerful. Not to mention there are more licensed teams, especially Arsenal and Chelsea. However, with this franchise you don't notice what the team or player names are since you loose yourself in the game.
The biggest sell for WE9 over WE8 is the addition of XBOX Live support for me. I was used to online play from FIFA 2005 and it was the only thing that I missed after I ditched FIFA franchise. I played some online games with WE9 immediately and they were flawless. It was nothing short than playing with the computer. Of course this depends on the network connection and mine is good. I don't know yet how big the online community is though. This is something I will know after a while, I guess. If you want to play online, I am BlackEagleT on XBL. I didn't have a chance to test drive the Master League yet but I am sure it is still much fun. On a final note, I felt like the graphics were a little better than the previous series but it may just be my excited eyes:) Bottomline is that if you are a real soccer fan you can never go wrong with WE9.

My review is simple, the game is awesome. The graphics are great and the gameplay is great. The only draw back is that every time you play this game, every foul is against you. The referee is always against you and never gives cards to the computer.

The graphics are great, it looks a lot more realistic than fifa, and it is not user friendly compared to fifa. I hate the fouls. Too many fouls from the CPU and from me too but because of the pressure button. Other than that the game is great, I'm having a hard time getting used to the controls since I am used to fifa's control layout. If you're looking for something realistic this games is for you. If you're looking for something user-friendly than I go with fifa. I find fifa much easier to play than this game. Overall it is a great game. I am surprised why there are so many little reviews for this game.
