World Sport 40 Inch Speed Training Parachute

The large size of this parachute makes it tough to get it all the way in the air. But there's a solution: run faster. That's the point of these things- you need to get up to x speed before the thing will go airborne, and then it provides resistance while you continue to do that.

So this parachute is a step up, and is probably not a good size for a beginner. I stepped up from a smaller one, and I'm still getting used to it, but it's a great challenge and it's strengthening my running.

No complaints so far.

My husband is a coach and I ordered this chute for him and his athletes. He likes the wind resistance it provides, and the quality material that it is made of. He also says it is strong. It does what it is advertised to do. Great product!

The item was purchased for my 12 year old son who plays most sports and he is pleased with the training and the product seems to be durable enough to handle the activity.

I bought this so my baseball fanatic kids could do some speed drills. You're supposed to run in short bursts but it was hard to get the parachute to catch enough air to make a difference before the end of their sprint. I tried it myself and couldn't feel much of a difference. Maybe I expected too much or just aren't doing it right.

I purchased the product to be used on an inhouse baseball team. The players are in the range of 9 to 11 years of age. I believed the 48 inches size of the parachute was perfect for this age group. The main problem that the product developed was the strap that goes from the parachute to the body was tearing apart after the 2nd round of usage. I replaced it with a more stronger and durable strap. I will not recommend this product for others becuase of the fact that the strap are made too weak and it will tear apart.

I recently received/purchased the 40" parachute, I thought it would be useful for my clients when I have them training on the beach. However, the chute strap doesn't fit the chest of most women and some men, it was a completely windy day which most would think would be perfect conditions to use such an item. It barely kept itself up while my boot campers were running with it, some even had to have a hand behind them to keep it from dragging on the sand. It did add a level of resistance but not nearly as effective as I thought it was going to be. As a result I am giving the parachute itself a C- as I will use it again and continue to use it and modify it myself to get the full use and effectiveness of the item. All in all if you're looking for something that can be used with ages 8-15 this would be perfect, anything over that age you would probably want a parachute that has a harness which will be my next purchase. The sellers of this product are top notch and I DO NOT FAULT them for what I FEEL is a failure.

Save your money. I bought the 56" model and can BARELY feel any resistance!

Bought this for my daughter who is on the High School track team. Either she wasn't fast enough to make it work or you need to run into a wind. A bigger one might work better.
