About the Author
Stanley J. Gulik's military experience began in 1945 as an Army Technician 5th grade. He served in the European theater until 1947 and again from 1950-1951 in Korea. It was during this time that Stan's interest in military politics took root. He often wondered what would have happened if the Japanese directed their assault on nearby Russian soil first instead of American territorial islands. The idea gained momentum, and after several years of research, it became the subject of this book. A self-confessed voracious reader, Stan owns a personal library of over 500 books primarily dealing with WWI, WWII and Civil War eras. Now retired from a 40-year career in engineering, Stan enjoys swimming, golfing and model airplanes of pre-jet vintage. He is currently at work on his next novel.
