World War II B-24 "Snoopers" is the story of the 63rd and 868th Squadron low level anti-shipping radar night bombers that operated in the Pacific Theater during the turbulent years of the second world war. Drawn from obscure and almost forgotten records, as well as his own eyewitness experiences, Stephen M. Perrone (himself a former member of a Snooper aircrew who flew 37 combat missions) provides an accurate history of two B0-24 Heavy Bombardment Squadrons who sank hundreds of thousands of tons of Japanese warships, troop carriers, and supply ships with precision from an altitude of 1000 to 1500 feet in all kinds of weather conditions. World War II B-24 "Snoopers" is a superbly written and enthusiastically welcome addition to World War II Military Studies collections and highly recommended reading for military aviation enthusiasts and history buffs.
