4.0 out of 5 stars Good Side Story
Gamma Corps is a good addition to the world war hulk story line. The art work in this book is nice and the story is decent. I don't want to spoil anything I am just going to say that the hulk finally met his match but you have to read to find out what happens to hulk and then how he...

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing of great importance in this WWH tie-in
With a revenge-driven Hulk pounding the superheroes, what's a guy to do? Sadly, that is the sole interesting aspect of Gamma Corps, as this crew is unleashed to take on the Hulk as he ravanges New York City. The book as a whole doesn't really...

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing of great importance in this WWH tie-in, May 24, 2008
This review is from: World War Hulk: Gamma Corps (Incredible Hulk) (Paperback)
With a revenge-driven Hulk pounding the superheroes, what's a guy to do? Unleash the Gamma Corps: a team of five superpowered individuals whose powers are drawn from the Hulk's own gamma-radiated DNA. Sadly, that is the sole interesting aspect of Gamma Corps, as this crew is unleashed to take on the Hulk as he ravanges New York City. The book as a whole doesn't really amount to much in general, and actually ends up being kind of boring to boot. Not to mention that the TPB as a whole bears little importance to the overall World War Hulk storyline, and you more than likely can figure out who ends up on top here. Written by Frank Tieri, Gamma Corps had potential, but goes nowhere, and ends up being one World War Hulk tie-in that isn't really worth picking up. Carlos Ferreira offers up some decent artwork though, so Gamma Corps isn't a total loss, but is still only really worth checking out for the World War Hulk completest.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't Bad, May 15, 2011
This review is from: World War Hulk: Gamma Corps (Incredible Hulk) (Paperback)
This is the only part of the whole "World War Hulk" saga that wasn't really awesome in my book.

The villains in this book are just people who had problems that they blamed on the Hulk, even though they couldn't even really confirm what had happened was his fault. The fight scenes were cool, and the art was good as well.

If you wanna have ALL the WWH books or if you're a HUGE Hulk fan, pick it up. But if you're looking for essential elements of the WWH storyline, this is one you can safely pass over.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent!, January 8, 2011

I thought it was a decent story line. I didn't think they needed to tie this in with the WWH series, (but thats just my opinion). This was interesting enough to stand by itself. Actually it was a little akward the they did tie this in. But non the less a good light read. If you like stories of revenge, and just a Hulk fan in general go for it. I would've given it 4 stars but the WWH tie in was silly. If you catch a good sale go for it! I didn't expect much when i bought it and still found it interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars An intensely ironic tie-in, October 15, 2008
This review is from: World War Hulk: Gamma Corps (Incredible Hulk) (Paperback)
The WWH series introduces an excellent tie-in with WWH: Gamma Corps, involving five victims of the Hulk subjecting themselves to Gamma radition and Hulk DNA to become strong enough to battle him. The Gamma Corps storyline in fact takes place prior to the main events of the World War Hulk Comic, as the Hulk's ultimatum has not yet expired. The story features excellent art and superb action, but what is truly gripping about it is the Gamma Corps' motives and that of their leader, General Ryker. Like the Hulk himself in WWH, these men (and one woman) are driven by revenge, and this leads to an interesting exchange of ideas between them and their greenskinned opponent. The only reason it loses a star is because it is only four issues long, and I would have liked to see more of what the Corps could do. Nonetheless it is an excellent book, and a great tie-in to a great story arc.
