Wonderful Pictorial History,

I found this book to be filled with vivid pictures that helped me to understand visually what occurred during WWII. Most books give you a few pictures or maps to help you out, but this book is all pictures. I understand more about what happened during WWII when I can relate it to something I have seen. This book helped a lot.

I found this book to be true to its own words,"WW II: A Photographic History covers every major theatre of battle and the extraordainary people involved. With over 900 photographs, many published here for the first time, this unique book offers a comprehensive view of the entire conflict."I found the pages to be well edited. The black and white photographs made it very realistic. It gives me a newfound respect for the military photographers! An invaluable contribution to the pages of history.

I bought this book looking only for a good WWII pictorial, but received much more. While the photographs were excellent in quality and quantity (some quite graphic), the book also contained an interesting narrative overview of the war. This included Hitler's rise to power, and life in Nazi occupied Europe, which were of particular interest to me. It is a must for any WWII buff.
