PRETTY DANG GOOD!, October 16, 1999
This review is from: World War III (Audio CD)
First of all, the latest No Limit releases are sounding a bit different. Cuz in 1998, all the No Limit albums that came out basiclly sounded the same. But Mercedes, Fiend, Magic & now Mac's new album have a slighty different feel, but are all good! If No Limit stayed the same, you'd get sick of it. Anyway, this album is hot! by far, my faorite song is "Still Callin Me" that is like a slow tempo, freaky, sexy song, that just puts you right in the mood. Second best song is "Paradise" which features POPEYE (who is the best new No Limit Soldier with LOTS of skills). Other favorites are "Lockdown", "We Deadly"- which has a creepy beat to it that is so tight. and "Cops & Robbers"-which has a beat that sort of sounds like the beat from "What ya'll want-by EVE". This Album is hot, i definately recommend it! (P.S. I bet alot of you don't this...MAC used to be on CASH MONEY RECORDS before he got on No Limit!) also SOULJA SLIM (who is locked up at the present time) is a No Limit Soldier, but he too used to be on Cash Money Records, and Soulja Slim's brother is B.G. (who is on Cash Money). just thought you'd like to know that. Go cop MAC-WORLD WAR III

If Mac wasnt in jail, there is no doubt he would be a real force in rap today. This whole cd is hard. Every song, his flow stays on topic and he jus rips it. Buy this cd before u can't find it.

This is one of the brightest spot of No Limit. Master P has done a terrific job by recruiting Mac onto the tank. In this album, Mac again shows that he's a master when it comes to lyricism, deliveries, and originality. Any rap fan should have this album, seldomly has No Limit ever put out something like this before. The best cuts on here are; 1.WE DEADLY- Outstanding work done by P and Mac dissing Pastor Troy, this one song is a good enough reason to buy this album.
2.BEST FRIENDS-Loved the beat,
3.WAR PARTY-Energetic beat with very good verses by Mac and D.I.G
4.BLOODY-Magic and Mac sayin'DON'T MESS WIT US!' A fast paced song
5.PARADISE-WOW!! Samm and Popeye are tight as HELL! Makin me think why are they wit No Limit
6.Battle Cry-Very good song, again Mac shows us his talent
7.Cops and Robbers-The beat is fire, and a song dissin the cops
8.Lockdown-Mac delineates about his life in the slammer
9.That's Hip-Hop-Again, Mac wit them hot lyrics
10.Assassin Nation-My favorite song on the album
These are the 10 best songs on the album, the other will keep you busy too. Unlike Shell Shocked, this album leaned towards the east coast. Focused on lyrics more than beats. Mac's the reason why No Limit is better than Cash Money or any New Orleans rap... Get this..and yes it's better than Shell Shocked
