5.0 out of 5 stars Best NL product of 99 August 21, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This is one of the brightest spot of No Limit. Master P has done a terrific job by recruiting Mac onto the tank. In this album, Mac again shows that he's a master when it comes to lyricism, deliveries, and originality. Any rap fan should have this album, seldomly has No Limit ever put out something like this before. The best cuts on here are; 1.WE DEADLY- Outstanding work done by P and Mac dissing Pastor Troy, this one song is a good enough reason to buy this album.
2.BEST FRIENDS-Loved the beat,
3.WAR PARTY-Energetic beat with very good verses by Mac and D.I.G
4.BLOODY-Magic and Mac sayin'DON'T MESS WIT US!' A fast paced song
5.PARADISE-WOW!! Samm and Popeye are tight as HELL! Makin me think why are they wit No Limit
6.Battle Cry-Very good song, again Mac shows us his talent
7.Cops and Robbers-The beat is fire, and a song dissin the cops
8.Lockdown-Mac delineates about his life in the slammer
9.That's Hip-Hop-Again, Mac wit them hot lyrics
10.Assassin Nation-My favorite song on the album
These are the 10 best songs on the album, the other will keep you busy too. Unlike Shell Shocked, this album leaned towards the east coast. Focused on lyrics more than beats. Mac's the reason why No Limit is better than Cash Money or any New Orleans rap... Get this..and yes it's better than Shell Shocked

5.0 out of 5 stars Macadon Excels Once Again June 7, 2001
By Alex D.
Format:Audio CD
Mac (the best No Limit Soldier) comes with his Sophmore No Limit Album. He came with a better album than Shell Shocked. To say that it's great is an under statement. Mac is one of the best lyricists in the country and actually one of best ever.
Mac worked with is PsychoWard clique on WW3 more than his previous album "Shell Shocked". This was his first album working with Soulja Productions, as well. He also had more time to shine by himself on this album than on Shell Shocked.
Excellent tracks include "Best Friends" (which reseurfaced on "Goodfellas")... a stirring narrative about a former friend turned enemy. "Like Before" features a bouncy New Orleans style beat by XL and Mac rips it. "We Deadly" has a sinister beat by TRU-Records producer Ke-Noe, and features a reinvigorated Master P. "Bloody" is a favorite that features Mac & Magic spitting fast rhymes over a sick XL beat. "Assassin Nation" has Mac spitting intense lyrism that only a Psycho Ward MC can bring you... Mac destroys tha beat that Raj'Smoove from the PsychoWard provides.
Mac went much deeper on this album than his last, with thoughtful lyrics on songs such as "Battle Cry", "Lockdown Remix", "Can U Love Me?", "Genocide", & "Father's Day"
I recomend this album to anyone who likes incredible lyricsm, great flow, and a unique style. Buy This Album!!! Support this man who's goin through a rough time right now and never got the recognition he truly deserves. Mac should be a superstar

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Album May 31, 2006
Format:Audio CD
This is a 5 mic album to me. Its great. Some people refer to Mac as The Souther 2pac and i would have to agree. Its unfortunate that mac was convicted of murder and wasnt able to release another album. Ill get to that later. This CD features two of my favorite songs of all time. Fathers Day and Eyes Of A killer. The production on this cd is great. Some people wont agree that this is the best MAC album but thats mainly because it doesnt feature the typical No Limit Records Prouction from Beats By The Pound because they left, the reason they stated was musical differnces. I this think album is amazing and i would reccomend you picking it up. Even for the price its going for. Thats saying alot, it is that good.

Mac was sent to Prison for Manslauggter. He got 30 years with a possibilty of parole in 2010. I believe he was innocent, not because hes one of my favorite rappers like some people do. The case they had against him was shotty. The person who did it Confessed but they went on to prosecute him anyway. They never found the murder weapon and had no physical evidence. Even in this day and age with the corrupt 'justice' system, the fact that he was convicted amazes me. I think it was because he is a rapper and No Limit Records was started with dope money. The New Orleans Police, The Dea and the Feds were trying to get Master P for the longest time. On Tru's Tru To The Game they speak on this.

Mac Is currently trying to get an appeal and its looking hopefull after the appeal that was granted to fellow No Limit Records Rapper C-Murder.

5.0 out of 5 stars words can't describe it November 1, 2003
Format:Audio CD
By the middle of 99', the streets were a bit skeptical about No Limit after dissapointing releases from Master P and Silkk the Sucker. Their best album of the year, Mac's World War 3, came at the end of the year.
Unlike most NL albums, there is a certain synergy here. The top-notch production coupled with Mac's first-rate flows give the album a certain ambience which was absent in their prior releases. Whereas Shell Shocked was directed to the clubs, World War 3 is a cynical album which explores the treachery and deception which comes from being on the streets. On the tear jerking "Best Friends", Mac discusses a friendship gone bad: "I made a promise to your momma when we were only 12, told her I'd deliver you from evil and keep you alive and well. I guess I've got to dissapoint her but you leave me no choice".
On "Like Before" Mac pushes Ghetto Love to a new limit. A limit which most R&B singer could not reach. There are other potent songs such as "Just another thug" with C-Murder and "Eyes of A Killa". Mac's World War 3 is probably the best album to be released from NL ever(except maybe C-Murder' Life or Death).

Mac delivered lyrics something that No Limit was not really known for during these times. He spit over any beat that was presented to him as you can see on this album and rips it. Read more
