This book series is one of my son's favorites. He will reread all the books because the pictures and the stories have such great details that he constantly finds something interesting. He finds the topics fascinating and I like the books because many of the US history topics are not covered in the Virginia elementary schools at his grade level.

Purchased for classroom use. These have made an excellent and popular resource
for students whose comprehension and reading abilities are below grade level.
Relevant historical information presented in a visual format.

Bought this comic book as an Easter basket stuffer for my 9 year old son. He is into history, especially anything to do with wars and military. I would not recommend it for a classroom though, as other poster stated. It is definitely more entertainment with a bit of learning. Don't get me wrong, it is fact based, but it doesn't tell every fact. There isn't enough room-it is a comic book style book.

I couldn't believe how reading historical facts along with amazing graphic illustrations improved my retention of the material. This will be an incredibly useful teaching tool both at home and at my daughter's school. The fact that I am learning along with her is such a bonus!!

I was expecting a little more than what I received. It's not much of a book. There are few pages and does not include much information. I could not use it for my classroom.
