It clears up the story of the Sunwell, and brings very interesting characters to life.
I love this very much, it was easy to read and follow in the adventure.
I would definitely recommend this to a WoW fan!
So I have not read this. But to give you the basic idea, the manga/graphic novel/comic came out a few years back in three parts. Then they made the Ultimate Sunwell Trilogy in hardcover with bigger pages, making it look better and easier to read than the standard tokyopop small page sizes.
Then a character from the trilogy was included in the first four issues of Warcraft: Legends, which was another comic based on the Warcraft universe during the events of World of Warcraft (I guess). So that guy's stories are now collected into this edition.
So this edition is smaller than the ultimate trilogy in actual page size and it also has a paperback cover, which makes it easier to destroy the book when you read it a lot or take it with you anywhere. But even though its not hardcover and has smaller pages, it does collect the adventures of that character from the first four Warcraft: Legends books.
So if you want the most complete edition, here it is. If you prefer a sturdier copy or one with bigger images, get the Ultimate Trilogy. I bought the hardcover Ultimate Trilogy awhile back because I saw it was becoming rare, and I still haven't read it. Actually, it's still sealed, which apparently is now worth a good deal of money. So I might sell it and get used copies of both editions!!!
Personally, I think the best path would be to buy the older hardcover edition, because it's sturdier and has bigger pages (it is a comic after all, illustrations are pretty important) and then for the other adventures, go buy the Warcraft: Legends volumes. There are four short stories in each of the Legends books, so you're only getting one from each with the Essential Sunwell Collection.Read more ›
