Murlocs!! Mrgl Mrrgl Mrgl!!, July 23, 2009
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: World of Warcraft Series 4: Murloc Action Figure 2-Pack: Fish-eye and Gibbergill - Colors May Vary (Toy)
I've had this set on pre-order for quite a while and was very excited when Amazon finally delivered it. I did not have the same problem as reported by Micah's review, both Fish-Eye and Gibbergill were the correct colors as shown on the Amazon product page. I know that there is a "collector's" color variant out there where the pallets are swapped, so maybe there was a mix up on his set?
After being a little disappointed by the paint quality on the
World of Warcraft Series 4: Deluxe Collector Figure: Lady Vashj figure, I was pleasantly surprised by the details on the Murlocs. The colors were bright and distinct and the little details - such as the shells and twine and the froth from the water - were a nice touch.
The one problem I ran into would be the durability of this set. Unfortunately for no apparent reason, my Murlocs took a header onto the floor and the green guy's leg snapped off right at the foot. He's currently being held together by some epoxy putty and a finishing nail. Randomly the Murlocs seem to tilt over as their weight shifts, so a fall from the heights might be in several owners' future. Keep these guys situated on a wide surface and add additional weight to the base if you have the option. Other than that, these guys are a great addition to any Warcraft figurine collector's collection.
============================
**UPDATE** I ordered a second set of these guys from Amazon and I ran into the same problem that reviewer "Micah" mentioned. Both Murlocs in my new set were of the green skin only - same exact paint scheme for each Murloc.
BUYER BE AWARE!!!
The Murloc action figure set you receive **may not** match the blue / green duo that Amazon has pictured on their item page.

Color Problem, February 19, 2010
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: World of Warcraft Series 4: Murloc Action Figure 2-Pack: Fish-eye and Gibbergill - Colors May Vary (Toy)
I experienced the same problem as another reviewer in that the murlocs I received are both of the same color. I've seen variation in the colors where the one on the rock is green or the smaller one is green, but both of mine are blue. This is the first problem I've had collecting the Warcraft figures from DC Direct, which are usually superb. I might explore my options on returning them or trying to find a guaranteed correct combo for that is what I'd rather have.
If you are a WoW fan, or just like the art and figures I recommend picking some up, I haven't had any trouble other than this one. I just advise that if you are looking to buy Fish-Eye and Gibbergill sight unseen you may get 'twins' like I did.

Great Collector's Item, August 10, 2011

I didn't buy this to play with, I collect the WoW action figures and place on a shelf with other toys still in original package. This is the one I used for starting my collection so I would recommend anyone who likes WoW to start a collection and make this your first. The Murloc's are funny to hear in the game and interesting to look at in the packaging.
