Amazon.com Review
The jury may still be out on how valuable a
Yellow Pages guide to the Internet can be to the online traveler. However, between the reassuring feeling of having a book in hand for leisurely browsing and the online companion to the book that will save you the hassles of hand typing URLs that you're interested in, good reasons can indeed be found. Sometimes it's helpful to browse the book in order to discover not only particular sites I've missed, but entire categories of sites that I hadn't considered before. This is a fine method for widening your horizons as an Internet citizen. Furthermore, a good
Yellow Pages also provides a convenient offline reference work when you're focused on a particular topic. Either way, New Rider's book and CD-ROM set is an excellent resource.

Browse categories, understand Web site offerings and descriptions, and operate on both Windows and Macintosh platforms using a guide which provides yellow pages listings for popular Web sites. May be outdated quickly, but contains excellent pointers to fine resources nonetheless. --
