Murry and Frank have crafted an excellent story-teller's album in the folk tradition. The album conveys the spectrum of human emotion and how those emotions turn to murder. It's somewhat like "The Spoon River Anthology" set to music. Murry and Frank write and structure songs well and convincingly inhabit the characters in their stories. Give it shot. You won't be disappointed.

A damn fine record, ladies and gentlemen!, April 2, 2008

World Without End is a collection of new American murder ballads that explores existential truths in a fresh and compelling manner.
People from all sides speak their piece: outlaws ("Little Nelly was married, but I didn't give a damn / I took her young body, that's just how I am"), victims ("I could smell my flesh burning / So I climbed up the chain"), and omniscient narrators ("When they killed his wife and his baby that night / They froze the heart of Joaquin"). Not only are the songs highly literary, but also musically engaging: listeners will find everything from waltz to country to rock'n'roll.
With this album, Bob Frank and John Murry make Nick Cave sound like the goofball that he is. Every fan of great songwriting, William Faulkner, Carson McCullers, and Malick's Badlands should own a copy of World Without End.
