5.0 out of 5 stars Post-punk pre-Manchester genius, March 14, 2001
This review is from: World Without End (Audio CD)
A systhesis of The Jusus and Mary Chain, The Church, and House of Love, and a dash of The Smithereens. Not quite goth, not quite shoegazer, east coast college music from that wonderfully confused time that was the late 80's. Buy this CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute perfection, March 6, 2004

This brilliant album gets better each time I listen to it. The shimmering guitar lines throughout are brilliant. Album flows seamlessly from guitar-charged Brit-Pop rockers to beautiful slower numbers. The rhythm section is topnotch and bass and drums are high up in the mix. Not a bad song in the bunch, but the best are Inside Out, Closer To You, In Everything You Do, Shine and Breaaking Down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album from the 80s, or any era..., March 7, 2007

This review is from: World Without End (Audio CD)
This is a straightforward, rousing rock & roll album that sounds as fresh as the day it was released. World Without End doesn't have the quaint retro sound that many of the more acclaimed "college rock" bands of this era had-- instead the Lemon Drops relied on basic rock riffs and some extremely solid playing.
