A thoroughly comprehension year-in-review of almost every aspect of the 2002 season. Well written, well researched, it's full of facts and behind the scenes dope that are presented in a witty and amazingly insightful manner. I'd never heard of Mr.McAvennie before but he's a sports writer to watch out for- more like this please! Matched with literally hundreds of great photos, this is a must for anyone who's got the slightest interest in WWE.

Michael knows his stuff, that's for sure. This is an exhaustive and exhausting recap of an active year in the WWF. While I personally don't agree with all the McMahon shenanigans that occured, I do like the way he encapsulated the events. It's a wonderfully designed book with plenty of pics specific to the text. He's a good, breezy writer and I look forward to more from him.

This book is unbelievable! When I first heard about it, I thought it would be [bad]. But when I got it, I was shocked! It is filled with everything you need to know about 2002 in the WWE. You have to look at the inside pages tp know what I am talking about. It shows everything from the incredible rise of Brock Lesnar, the amzing return and spectacular triumph of Triple H to the brand extension and the hottest divas!!! I think this book is a must have for any WWE fan.

This is a great example of how these 'years in review' books should be done. Well written with just enough facts and cool inside information that even a non-fan of wrestling would find this an enjoyable read. loved it from cover to cover and a must have for anyone who might have missed some of the past years big matches. highly reccomended.

Puts the smackdown on any other gibronis' wrestling books,

I don't usually read a lot of wrestling books, but this one has it all: it's funny, inisghtful (the writer really knows his stuff), packed with excellent photos, and lots more. This puts the lie to the rumors that WWE has "jumped the shark" -- there's still plenty of life in the most popular form of sports entertainment in the world.

Not that I'm a huge fan of sweaty men in tights, but Mr. McAvennie totally captures the essence of the ring. A truly worthwhile read for any wrestling fan, and a pleasant diversion for the casual observer. Bring on the smackdown!
