Yet Howell and Jones, relationship educators who work with the California Healthy Marriages Coalition and have been married for 30 years, believe the answers to making a relationship flourish already exist in groundbreaking research that is "largely buried in professional literature of which most couples are unaware." This is such a great book on marriage, but almost all the tools and skills taught are applicable to every relationship we have. Not just a vague glimpse or ideas about what a "good" relationship should look like, but real applications that we can put to work immediately. One step at a time, the authors lead us into deeper, workable and more meaningful relationships with those we love. It never ceases to amaze me how some of us can grow into adults without knowing how to truly put our feelings and emotions into check and change our love from a thought or emotion into an action. This book will help you do that in some very basic-though not always easy-ways.
