The Mediaeval Baebes have a unique sound blend. They take melodies, both religious and secular, and update them away from Gregorian Chant to a more contemporary sounds. I commend their music to those who want to push the envelopes on that genre (Gregorian Chant) and still enjoy the uplifting sounds of that time period.
The service provided with the disc was excellent and received rapidly. I commend them for it.

If you like medieval chant and polyphony, or even if you don't, this album is great fun. This group has great energy together and turn every song into a compelling meditation of sound. I recommend.

I found The Mediaeval Babes when the sound track from "Elizabeth I: The Virgin Queen" caught my attention. What great music for driving, reading, dozing, background for a party or just talking. If you appreciate female vocals in harmony, unusual or ancient sounds, you will love this CD and it will draw comments from everyone who hears it. I plan to purshase more of these artists music, after buying the movie sound track and this CD I am hooked!
