5.0 out of 5 stars Could This Be Better Than Breathe?
I liked their previous album Breathe so much, and gave it five stars, but Worlds Apart is just as good. There is so much flow and depth to this album, it's really a joy to listen to. Also, there is a mystical flavor that permeates the recording. Very otherworldly stuff to take you on a pleasant journey. The three female vocalists (Maura Hurley, Sheyenne Rivers, and...

1.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre and Unimaginative
Very boring. Bland new age techno without any redeeming qualities. An appropriate place for this to be played would be in an elevator or perhaps convalescence home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could This Be Better Than Breathe?, February 7, 2007
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
I liked their previous album Breathe so much, and gave it five stars, but Worlds Apart is just as good. There is so much flow and depth to this album, it's really a joy to listen to. Also, there is a mystical flavor that permeates the recording. Very otherworldly stuff to take you on a pleasant journey. The three female vocalists (Maura Hurley, Sheyenne Rivers, and Samantha Sandlin) have beautiful voices, perfect for this type of music. Try listening with quality headphones, it's really something! You hear all of the nuances and entrancing sounds better that way. It is an excellent recording, and great headphones or a good stereo can bring out the best in this work. Note: Track 6, "Worlds Apart" contains a left speaker/right speaker dynamic that is just incredible to hear with good headphones. I was blown away. But that is not the only standout track; the whole album contains some really exquisite material. If you like Blue Stone, you may also be interested in Amethystium, Mythos, Sleepthief, Balligomingo, and Delerium. They are all fabulous artists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
This album is a club DJ's dream. With chilling vocals and insanely catchy beats, this is sure to be a dance club favorite after the songs find their way into a remix DJs hands. The songs how are they are now don't disappoint, though. This album is perfect for a great set of headphones and a comfy couch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Calm yet Enthusiastic, February 28, 2007

Blue stone opened up a new interest in the genre of preferred music. It's serene, calm, soothing, has a sort of Enigma effect. Helps me relax after long days of work.

This band has been around but has ot received the recognition it deserves. Blue Stone is music that is great for a dance studio (in particular lyrical dance) or just to listen to in your house. It is calming but does not put you to sleep. It is hard to categorize Blue Stone, so I suggest just listen to it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Puts me in a good place, February 26, 2007
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
Well-executed down-tempo electronic music with fabulous vocals over layers and layers of wonderful harmonies and rhythms. There is something here for everybody to enjoy. Every time I listen the music just takes me to another place and completely calms me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vastly different yet also even better than 'Breathe', March 3, 2007
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
I remember purchasing their debut album entitled Breathe and loved every moment of that album. Somewhat similar to the mysteriousness of Amethystium with the style of Ryan Farish, the album was a sonic bliss. Now just a full year later though came along an album entitled "Worlds Apart" that almost discards the romanticism of the previous album and replaces it with some eerie electrifying electronica that is completely removed from anything off "Breathe". I find it somewhat hard to believe that it is by the same artist either. Yet, "Worlds Apart" took what was great about the debut, builds upon it and adopts a totally different atmospher altogether and has lots more vocals. Only a handful of tracks are instrumentals unlike the debut which the majority were instrumentals. Less New Age, and far heavier on electronic techno beats, the album is a darkly romantic, even spooky adventure with the grittiness of the opening track. The album cover perfectly portrays the mood of this release.

"Set Adrift" which begins with a spooky electronic sonic effect almost like a plasma-ball effect before erupting into a pulsating track with operatic, Tim Burton-esque atmospheres, and austere seductive vocals that echoe throughout the track.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, July 8, 2007
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
I was searching for something new and found Blue Stone. I purchased "World's Apart". Blue Stone's melodies are ethereal and haunting at times (in a wonderful way). Some have compared them to Enigma which implies that they copied Enigma's style... totally wrong! Blue Stone's style is original and imaginative. The vocals and musicianship are beautiful. I am beyond enthralled and have ordered "Breathe" and I'm looking for their new one - "Beauty". I know I won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite band, June 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Worlds Apart (Audio CD)
I was looking for music similar to delerium and enigma on Amazon and stumbled across this album. The sample songs intrigued me, so I gambled and bought the album. Wow! I am so gald I did! This album has grabbed me from the first play. It haunts me with songs in my mind, at night, during the day, making me hunger to hear them all over again. I just can't get tired of it. There is a lovely mix between instrumentals and vocals. Lyrics are haunting and suggestive of much deeper meaning. A real pleasure to listen to with the headphones!

I actually heard this CD playing on the sound system in a Major Book Store. After hearing most of the album I had to inquire about it. I listed to samples from the rest of the ablum and I had to buy it.
