than the one kelly keeling is talking about! i love this album! i have all of john norum's solo stuff and this one is my favorite. i love the songs, the guitar work, the production, and most of all... kelly's vocals! i think he's the best rock singer out there at the moment. i'd love to know what john thinks of this album!

A pretty good cd from John...Not as good as Another Destination...but good nonetheless...Where The Grass Is Green is the BEST Song John has EVER done PERIOD!! Its not the same old ballads he did on the first two cds...those songs...In Your Eyes and Too Many Hearts, etc. Sound too much alike...and WAY TOO MUCH LIKE YNGWIE....other songs on Worlds Away I like are Manic Distortion, Make A Move, and Homeland(Peace Of Mind). I definately agree with everyone that he should let his vocalists sing on all of the songs...he just doesn't have the range that Kelly Keeling has...yet he is a decent singer...much better than Yngwie...At least Yngwie realizes that and lets his singers do they're job...This cd is Worlds Away from his previous work but in a very good way!

After Another Destination I was prepared to rave about Norum to all my friends whether they wanted to listen or not. I shut up quick when this came out.

Turgid songwriting, meandering tunes that go nowhere, and even if they went somewhere you wouldn't want to go with them. Lacklustre production job and the whole thing - right down to the cover - is sort of reminiscent of a really boring party.

Not even the wonderful and cutting Manic Distortion can save this though on his subsequent live album some of these tunes have life breathed into them.
