4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice as "cliff notes" for anatomy classes, May 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The World's Best Anatomical Charts (World's Best Anatomical Chart Series) (Paperback)
This book is a handy quick reference. I used it when teaching anatomy & physiology labs and during anatomy classes. Also an excellent quick desk reference. But you might need a magnifying glass to read the print if you are over 40.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Anatomical Charts, April 3, 2002
This review is from: The World's Best Anatomical Charts (World's Best Anatomical Chart Series) (Paperback)
"The World's Greatest Anatomical Charts" is a handy reference on human anatomy. It contains 27 charts that include the digestive system, birth and pregnancy, the heart and blood vessels, and a multitude of other charts on various parts of the human body. At the end of the book there are pages highlighting some serious diseases and why they are caused.

This book is good for somebody that holds an interest in the human body but this is not the best thing for a serious student that is studying anatomy. The charts in this edition are very nice and the color shows good. The print is small but that can make do. This chart is not neccesarily a neccesity but would be good for just taking a peek at what's inside our bodies.

Happy Reading!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very informative, but bring out the magnifier!, April 4, 2009

This is a great resource: I used it for reference and for teaching in rural health clinics. However, this desktop version is so small you really should keep a magnifying glass handy! The pages are printed only on one side, which is nice, because I used the blank sides to add notes to and make my planning/ packing even more convenient.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Quality and Very Useful, May 1, 2011

My grandson is in medical school and I bought two, one for him and one for me. Now when I am explaining my ills to him we can talk. And when he is telling me about something he learned in school I can follow him by looking at one of the charts. My doctor uses this very book in her office to help explain her diagnosis to patients.

Large, full color charts of everything your doctor talks to you about. My doctor had a copy of this book in each examining room of her office. I bought a copy of my own so I could learn more about what was happening in my body as I aged. I had to buy used copies because the book is out of print, but there are some very good copies for sale at amazon.com. Very sturdy book, and very well illustrated. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to really know what their doctor is talking about when something goes wrong with their bodies.

I bought this book on a recommendation from my neurology/Anatomy professor to use as a supplement to my class. As a student, I use this book to look at other pictures for placements of structures. My only complaint is that the lettering is a little small and might be an issue for some people. Otherwise, this is a good resource to have if going into any medical classes.

Nice book. I bought the book used and it was a 'VERY' used book. The book was dirty and wrinkled. But a good book.
