As far as a dish cloth is concerned, they do the job. As Kevin G and Silverback reported, when dry they tend to smear liquids. So don't use them as a towel to cleanup a spill. Once wet, they do wash well, and absorbe a good amount of soap and water to wash with. The elastic quality is nice. They are a thick cloth for washing pans and dishes. Cudos to the shipper, they shipped very quickly. I received them 2 days after I ordered. That was very nice!

However, when I received these dish cloths they were in a reused plastic grocery bag, tied in a knot. They look very unfinished, with the stitching not even cut off at the corners of the cloths. The edges just have a line of stitching on the 2 cut sides to keep it from unraveling. The product description does say, "We ship an assortment of what we have on hand at the time.". This statement makes sense now that I've receivd the product. It's an informal description, and they are not a professionally packaged item.

Now, I post all this not to dissuade someone from purchasing this item, but because I felt deceived when I received them. Had I known this is what I would be getting, I wouldn't have felt cheated when I got the shipment. For the price, they ARE a good cloth. I have trimmed the corners, used them for dishes, washing my counters, and even my children's faces (they are quite soft)... And I'm satisfied with them. I just want buyers to be aware.

First off, these dish cloths are fabulous, they have an elastic quality to them, and are extremely pleasant to feel. They absorb a good amount, though they do sometimes "swish" liquids around and "smear" pastes, instead of removing them. On the other hand, the value for them is great and the colors are beautiful and vibrant. Would buy again. But buyer beware, all reviews other than mine and Vicki's appear to be fake and planted by the company for a good rating. Still, I would call these a 4 - 4 1/2 star set of cloths.

These are incredible! yes, they ARE the worlds best...
They are not soppy, they absorb well, ring out easily and ready to reabsorb tons, they are soft and feel nice on princess hands, yet are tuff and scrub up that mess in the roaster after a castle feast, catch crumbs yet wash or shake off easy.....
They make you feel like Samantha on Bewitched as cleanup is like twitching your royal nose.......
I was apprehensive when I opened my package and saw the ruff finish on the edges. I thought these aren't going to be a castle beauty statement, but my inner grandma's kitchen made me try them. Thanks Grandma's! They actually weren't that bad looking after all. In fact, wet and/or folded nicely in a sink basket they pass as an expected gourmet chef's useful linen.
You have to try these to believe it, but I bet you'll also be a fan.
I give this 9 out of 10 ********* Royal Princess stars, losing only one start for the fashion faux pas.

these arrived quickly, earlier than i imagined they would because they didn't ship Prime.

i didn't know what to expect, because reviews are all over the place, and reviewers on both sides are passionate. i love them and am already using them as both dishcloths and dish towels. they are very soft, and i really like the surged aspect of them, which some people have complained about. i like the double thickness of this very soft flexible fabric. i suspect they are only part cotton, sent a message to the seller (Key West Goodies) with no answer, in what has been two days now. i asked if they are 100% cotton so i could bleach if necessary, but no answer so far.

i've had different types and textures of dishcloths, and haven't been too hot on any of them. they have been overall okay but unremarkable, except that i especially dislike the kind with netting on the back. this is the first dish cloth i have genuinely been sold on and have really enjoyed using.

now for the colors, they tell you up front that they will send an assortment of whatever colors they have on hand. i got four colors: off-white with three each of dark blue stripes, bright red stripes, bright yellow stripes, and light blue stripes. they are all pretty except the ones with the light blue stripes. those are really unremarkable-looking, and except for the way they feel in my hand and wash and/or dry dishes, which is great, i don't like them. bright green stripes would have made the order perfect.

i wash with soap nuts, and dry with woolsies dryer balls, so there are no detergents or chemicals on my laundry, with grapefruit seed extract (GSE) added as a disinfectant, so these will always stay absorbent, soft, and germ-free.

Not really what I wanted for a dish cloth. They are made of a stretchy material - sort of like having 2 pieces of a medium-weight loosely-woven sweater sewn together. They hold a lot of water so they are better for wiping up sticky or messy stuff. I never tried drying up any spills using a dry cloth because the purpose of my purchasing them was to submerge in the sink of dishwater and was dishes and to wring out as much water as possible to wipe down the table and counters. But they hold so much water that I could not wring them out enough - I had to go over the dining table with a paper towel to pick up the moisture these cloths left behind. If you are looking for a cloth that gets nice and juicy, then this is it, but if, like me, you want minimal moisture transferred to your surfaces then you wouldn't be happy with these.
