I was very hopeful about this cat litter because I know the clumping kind is not good for my or my cats respiratory system. Boy was I Disappointed!!!! Not only does it not control odor but it does not even remotely clump. My entire apartment smelled like a toilet! I would go to clean the box and the "clump" would completely disintegrate. This amazing cat litter does almost everything I want. It clumps, making litter box cleaning easy. It's flushable, so clumps just go right into the toilet without having to mess with plastic bags or special waste receptacles. It tracks less than finer-grained litters, meaning I have to do less cleaning around the box. The only thing it doesn't do is mask odors with perfume, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on what you and your cats like.

Traditional clumping clay litters are not flushable because they're likely to swell up and clog your plumbing. These great properties of swelling also mean that if your cat ingests any of the clumping clay litters, they might get a blocked bowel or just become very ill. I'm happy that this non-toxic and safe clumping cat litter is available. It really is the World's Best Cat Litter.

Combine this litter with an Omega Paw self-cleaning cat box. It's not really self-cleaning, but all you have to do is roll it over and it sifts itself, saving you the hassle with the scoop and the bag. The litter clumps fall into a removeable tray, which you can carry to your toilet and flush. Easy! I can't recommend this time-saving and hygienic combination enough.

I picked this up on the recommendation of a breeder in my area, it works well, just scoop out the clumps and flush it. My cat had absolutely no problem adjusting to it and it tracks less than the other stuff. The only problem I have encountered it smell, but that's easily addressed with some baking soda.

In summary, Works great, cat likes it, doesn't track much, flushable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Cat Litter, September 23, 2008
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I was having problems with my cats ingesting the clay based litters and was looking for an alternative. I spent months and months trying different cat litters before settling on World's Best Cat Litter. Yes, there can be issues with odor control, but that is only a problem if your cat is the type that doesn't bury their business. This litter clumps better than clay based litter and is far less dusty. I've noticed a lot less little paw prints on the furniture, since I made the switch. The clumping power of this litter is so good, that if you are very tidy about scooping (which I am), you only need to do a complete litter change every 3-4 months! I scoop out used litter and replace it with fresh litter, twice daily, and the boxes stay clean for months (and I have 3 cats). I've tried both the original formula and the Extra Strength (multicat) formula and can tell you that there is no difference. If anything the Extra Strength formula tends to be a bit more dusty than the original formula.

I have worked in shelters and pet stores and have used many different types of cat litter but this is by far the worst I have ever tried!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worlds Best, December 28, 2006
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I've been buying this litter for the last couple of years. Recently, I purchased another brand and am now going back. The Worlds Best Cat Litter is really the best. No dust (my kittys were sneezing when I poured "the other" stuff in the box), clumps really nice, easy to scoop out and doesn't stick to the litter box. The smell? Well, even when the cats "do their duty", you can barely smell it if at all. What is really nice is that it's good for the environment. I'm Happily going back. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
This is by far the best litter on the market. My sensitive feline (a Burmese) is very picky about her litter and I had been using a clay litter, prior to switching to the World's Best Cat Litter. It took a little while for kitty to adapt to the new litter, but once she did, I felt so much better. This litter doesn't make kitty sick when she licks her paws after she leaves her box, plus you don't get the dust that you get with the clay clumping types. This is a clumping litter that forms very tight clumps... I have an electric litter box and this litter works great in it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst cat litter EVER!!!!!, February 22, 2011
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I bought this litter with high hopes of odor control and was severely disappointed! I own three cats and depend on odor control. I had to switch back to Cat Attract which is awesome with odor control. The worlds best cat litter was easier to come by but after a few days it smelled of vomit and had to go! I don't recommend this Item at all!

4.0 out of 5 stars Natural Product, February 11, 2011
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I looked for a litter that was safe as I noticed many of them were heavily scented or created a lot of dust. I was very happy to find this natural product that was made from a simple natural source and no frills. I used it for many years. At first it was hard to find but it finally caught on. It still is not sold at stores convenient to me and I order it which caused me sometimes to find other products. The only other product I have liked as much or better than this one is Amazing cat litter made from sillica crystals. It really is amazing. It too makes a lot dust at first but as with the corn cob product the dust goes away after use. I spray water over both products when I first fill the container to help.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like the product, but it's too pricey, September 12, 2010
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I do not have cats, but I used this products for my two large rabbits who pee a lot. I saw TWBCL commercial on TV and decided to give it a try. I must say we were very impressed that it completely masked the smell of urine in their cages. Though a bit loose, it does clump well enough to scoop out. I've read other comments on the smell. I agree with another commenter that it smells like being around a barn. Not a pungent scent, but raw and natural...like hay bales and corn. (Not surprising.)

Pros:
-Hides or prevents urine/ammonia scent. (No funky odors greeted you when you entered the room.)
-No perfumes or other harmful chemicals. (By rabbits' runny eyes and noses cleared up.)
-No dust issues or sneezing spells with the rabbits.
-Biodegradable and clumps.

Cons:
-It's more expensive than I want to pay regularly. (I went through a 7 lb bag in 1.5 weeks.)
-Litter doesn't flush too well. (Toilet started to back up a little, so I stopped flushing it.)

Final note: TWBCL worked well enough for me to want to try it again. I'll just keep my eyes open for a good sale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff, August 21, 2009
This review is from: World's Best Cat Litter Extra Strength (Misc.)
I love this cat litter. I have two cats, just about a year old now, and they made a terrible mess with the sand litter I was using. Plus, I had only had one cat before and I had underestimated the increase in smell with two cats. So I tried this stuff although it is considerably more expensive than I wanted to pay. I just love it. The cats still manage to knock some of it out of the box, but there's far less mess than there was with the sand, which seemed to get all over the place. And it masks the odors very well (not completely, but better than anything else). The litter does have a distinct smell--it reminds me of the kind of smell one finds around barns with the hay and horse feed. I notice some people find it objectionable, but I rather like it. And it's much, much better than the cat pee smell.
