Wish I would have read the reviews before,

These bulbs are garbage. I replaced six of my lightbulbs with the Bright Effects bulbs. CFLs are supposed to last a VERY long time. Well, unfortunately, I'm six months in to buying them, and two out of six have burned out. The second one burned out five minutes ago. There was a LOT of smoke, and a terrible smell. I actually turned the light off because I was afraid it might start a fire.
I will never buy one of the Bright Effects bulbs again. For the sake of your wallet, as well as possible the safety of yourself and your loved-ones, I'd encourage you to avoid them as well.

Total Rip-off,

I bought 65W flood from Lowe's and used it only for 4 months before it burnt out. Total hours used were about 900 hrs--far shorter than the 8,000 hrs claimed on the package. Moreover, it's not even close to the warranty hours (2 yrs of 3 hrs/day, which is approx 2,190 hrs). I purchased it based on the price; it was couple of dollars cheaper compared to name brands. I may have saved a couple of dollars up front, but I actually paid more in the end.

Waste of money,
This review is from: World's BEST ENERGY STAR 1 PIECE BRIGHT EFFECTS 13 Watts Spiral shaped Fluorescent Bulb Energy saving NEW
The previous reviewer is right. I bought the bright effects equivalent of a 60 watt halogen bulb - a two pack. Both bulbs died within 6 months. I thought it was a fluke. I bought another pack (shame on me) and the same thing happened. These bulbs are junk. If you search for a Bright Effects website to complain, you won't find one. I'm going to return them to Lowes, but I don't expect they will give me a refund - no receipt. Who keeps a receipt for lightbulbs??? Total rip-off!
