The World's Greatest Aircraft,

This review is from: The World's Greatest Aircraft (Paperback)
The Worlds Greatest Aircraft is a complete quick reference guide to all
aircraft. Each plane is well diagramed with a brief history. It also includes its weight, performance, load, dimensions, role, power plant and crew accommodation. I highly recommend the book to any airplane enthusiast.

Lots of planes!,
This review is from: The World's Greatest Aircraft (Hardcover)
PROS: Overall a very nice book. 250 aircraft reviews of military, civilian and research planes. From the Wright flyer to the F-22 Raptor, from the heaviest airliners to the lightest single engine Cessnas. One plane per page and all pages follow the same format: 1 color profile artwork, 1 photograph, 1 three-view technical drawing, and a table of technical data (size, weight, speed, etc.) also a decent amount of text on the development history.
CONS: Very few for what you are getting. User nations not listed, combat/service history not included in the text. For the military planes it only gives the weight of ordnance it can carry but doesn't list specific missiles, bombs, etc. Then again, more detailed books wouldn't cover this many planes.
