A nice collection, April 11, 2005

This is a generous collection of tunes by many well known bluegrass musicians, including The Bluegrass Cardinals, Osborne Brothers, Lester Flatt and the father of bluegrass music himself, Bill Monroe. Many, if not all, of these songs are culled from CMH's 70's catalog. While many are remakes of earlier (and often more historically significant) material, the performances and recording quality are typically very good. You could nitpick that not all of the selections are strictly bluegrass, but don't let that spoil the fun!
