5.0 out of 5 stars Best resume book I have read, May 19, 2008

This review is from: The World's Greatest Resumes (Paperback)
This book helped me transform my resume from from an insipid document that looked like it had been prepared from a template to an effective document in which my accomplishments and abilities stand out and get attention.

The resume grading system developed by the author is very helpful in illustrating the strengths and weaknesses of resumes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rated a Top Career Book By The L.A. Times, May 4, 2010
This review is from: The World's Greatest Resumes (Paperback)
I googled this book and it was rated one of the top career books by the L.A. Times and syndicated columnist Joyce Lain Kennedy in 2005. I agree, this was the best career book that I have ever read! It turns a boring subject like resume preparation into book that I couldn't put down (it made my butt numb, but it was well worth it!) The techniques that Meier lays out are unlike any other resume book that I have read(it is amazing that most resume books are little more than regurgitated information that hasn't changed in decades.) The techniques make so much sense and are so clear in helping you distinguish yourself in this crazy market I would call them "righteous"! This book is well worth the money and helps you become a "needle in a haystack."

Mr. Meier has a couple other resume/career books that I have read and are even better than his "World's Greatest Resumes. His other books are: "Red Hot Resumes" and "Red Hot Interviewing & Salary Negotiations". His "Red Hot Resumes" has 100 resume examples and 10 commandments of a perfect resume.

He also has product called "Job In a Flash" that is a really innovative all inclusive career tool kit that has 2 books and 3 cd's worth of audio files all on a mini flash drive. These are exceptional products!!
