If you are looking for a comprehensive movie poster book that gives you great images, prices and an in depth history, then this would be the one.

This is a very well done book with Incredibly detailed close up pictures of hundreds of movie poster. It also has prices and estimates for every poster listed. The really cool thing is it also gives estimates of how many posters are known to exist and back it up with auction results from the last 20 years. If you want a great coffee table book I would highly recommend it!

This is a beautifully printed and exquisitely photographed must have book for anyone interested in classic movie posters. The author provides an insightful primer about movie posters and gives lots of auction results for the rarest of posters. It's a useful reference that I enjoy owning.

I've been collecting posters for 30 years and this is one of the best books about posters out there. Not only does it have incredible images of incredibly rare and beautiful posters but also includes actual auction prices and known estimates of how many are out there. A must have for any collector. Highly recommended!

Beautifully done book with great high resolution pictures of rare movie posters. I really enjoyed the history behind the posters also!

After reading and browsing through the book "The World's Rarest Movie Posters" one quickly realizes that Spoor's book was written for the sole purpose as an attempt for him to publicize and gain recognition for posters he has within his own collection. While many of the posters in this book are "rare" the number of surviving copies he lists -is for the most part completely inaccurate. For each of the poster examples presented he has chosen to list the -under, meaning the fewer existing copies the more valuable and rarer the poster is. Generally speaking, there is a much smaller group of collectors attracted to 30" X 40" and 40" X 60" because they were not used in theaters. As a read for fun, 1 star seems generous for such an purposeless, unsatisfying, and disappointing book.

Why buy a book when other sources are 'free'. I would be suspicious about the authenticity of any posters being sold by this author. BUYER BEWARE!
