All puzzle sheets and package sheets are given a final gloss finish using 100% water based coating. This coating protects the package while protecting the environment. I purchased this for my 9 year old grand daughter. It was a little difficult but we worked on it and it turned out very nice. Beautiful colors!

I would suggest a pyramid form to hold the pieces up while putting it together and holding it once it is together. The center of the 4 sides kept caving in. Now while it's together the sides still sink in.
The corners don't lock together very well either. I wouldn't purchase another puzzle like this.

The puzzle was fun but a little hard for my step daughters....granted they are below the recommended age because they are 8 and 11. We finished it though and the kids were impressed with the finished project. Plus, I liked the educational fun facts on the base.
