4.0 out of 5 stars Not Free SF Reader, May 25, 2008
The editors point out in the intro that this is only supposed to be SF, no sneaking in of the fairy pollution, or vague parables, or anything like that.

They also point out that although they try and read all the stories each year, they often disagree quite strongly on the stories, so this is a compromise selection.

Only 3.47, so too many ordinary stories, but the Colin Kapp Cloudbuilders technoogy recovery story was an interesting find, and some excellent stories from Knight and Saberhagen, too.
