from the beginning to the end, an excellent cd, unlike mostjazz/easy listening cds, this hard-to-find item is well-composed, written, and the music is a laid-back relaxin in the summertime shade kinda music, and remember never let a friend borrow the Worldwide (Dancing Fantasy) cd, u will never get it back. Excellent job, i luv the cd, now, i got buy another one, thats how good (Worldwide)is.

A Trip Around The World For The Price Of A CD,
By A Customer
This review is from: Worldwide (Audio CD)
Duration: 55:02Released on: 1993 Traditional international musical styles with Dancing Fantasy's groove-laced sound The Dancing Fantasy team of Curtis McLaw and Chris Williams take us around the world in sixty minutes with their latest collaboration Worldwide. While their purpose was to reflect the flow of music around the world, this recording does not contain authentic folk music or so-called "world music," but rather their interpretation of the spirit and energy of the various countries, their cultures and people. Incorporating ethnic sound samples, Dancing Fantasy delivers an exciting, stylistic hybrid that intuitively combines traditional musical styles with their own groove-laced, fresh and energetic sound... This successful albums from Dancing Fantasy reached position 15 on the Billboard Top New Age Albums Chart of 1993.

Truly an exceptional album.,

If you enjoy mellow, melodic immersive music this album will lay you out. Very sensual feel with evocative musical textures and rhythms... easily a favorite album. Every lady with whom I've ever shared this music has remarked how much they enjoy the sounds. Its good background with dinner or grooving with a glass of wine and candles or any time you want a quiet retreat. Its so easy to simply close your eyes and drift away in aural bliss. This is the only Dancing Fantasy album I own... have had it since about 1995 when I heard a cut (Nippon Nights) on KKSF-FM 103.7 in San Francisco (Smooth Jazz) - bought it before I left town and never (ever!) tire of it... in fact, I'm listening to it now. Which is why I surfed on over here to Amazon to see what else they've produced that I may be missing. All I can say, is "get this disc"... please! Oh, one more thing... the worst part of this album is when the final cut, Avalon, fades to silence and you wistfully realize your lingering reverie has ended, the lights are coming up, and reality awaits on the other side of the soft-focus dream in which you've been floating. Enjoy, my friend... enjoy.
