5.0 out of 5 stars Tsk, tsk
Man, will this people ever learn to listen to a band's music prior to buying an album? Hey, Jake, what did you expect? Vocal harmonies? Acoustic orchestrated solos with some chick doing some AHHHs? Get the hell out of here. You don't belong to this cathegory of music listeners. So why bother listening to Death Metal (or any good metal) for hell's sake? Or writing a review...

Get the hell out of here. You don't belong to this cathegory of music listeners. So why bother listening to Death Metal (or any good metal) for hell's sake? Or writing a review about a band which plays something you know you won't like in the first place. I can only guess you have no friends. Real ones.

About the EP: I haven't bought it yet. Planning to do it soon though. But I have heard the first two songs'll tell you that you should buy this EP just for them. They are awesome and both alone are better than any Slipknot full release. You won't be disappointed. I know I won't.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cannibal Corpse EP 2: The Worm Infested EP, September 7, 2005
This review is from: Worm Infested (Audio CD)
This is one of my favorite Cannibal Corpse releases in my collection. I bought it some time in the summer of 2003. During the time before the release of Gore Obsessed, I heard about a song called Worm Infested being that album. When Gore Obsessed came out, the song wasn't on it. So I went on to believe that it was all just a myth. That was until I saw this EP advertized as a part of a catalog of albums by other record labals sold by Century Media Records (home of Unleashed, Krisiun, Nevermore, Arch Enemy, ect.). Than I thought about ordering the EP some time later on until I saw it at a Spec's Music Store. That's when I immediately seized the moment and bought it because the number 1 rule of thumb was never leave a music store without anything and everything that is not in your Cannibal Corpse collection. So that's what I did. Anyway, I bought this EP, I took it home, listened to and it delivered like anything and everything Cannibal Corpse.

Now for my review. This not another studio album by the band. This is an EP and it contains some unreleased material, covers and extra tracks from overseas versions of the George Fisher era albums. Lets go through them one by one.

1. Systematic Elimination and Worm Infested - These are 2 songs that were supposedly suppose to be on Gore Obsessed. They have the Gore Obsessed sound and production and they are 2 important gemes for the Cannibal Corpse die-hards.

2. The Undead Will Feast - This is not the version from Eaten Back To Life. This is a new version with George Fisher on vocals and sound and production are in the vain of Vile. I think I like this version better but I'm not sure because the original holds a special place in my death metal heart. Nontheless, it's another good geme for the members of the cannibal colony.

3. Covers - The covers here are of No Remorse by Metallica, Confessions by Possessed and Demon's Night by Accept. These covers are killer and will keep the cannibal die-hards happy. For those who are looking for the original versions, here's how it goes. The original version of No Remores is on Metallica's debute album Kill 'Em All. The original version of Confessions is on The Eyes Of Horror album by Possessed and the original version of Demon's Night is on the Accept album Restless And Wild.

So in closing, this album is an important collection for all of the die-hard Cannibal Corpse fans. Since it has been said that it's a limited edition, I say pick up a copy now. Buy 1, 2 or 3 copies or as many as you like but just don't miss out.

By the way, I know that there are Cannibal Corpse fans out there who have complained about the song called Sacrifice now being on this EP. Don't dispair my bretherin, there's still hope. The song is on one of the CD's included on the Metal Blade 20th Anniversory boxset. That boxset is only available at Tower Records and here at Amazon.com. I warn that the boxset is a limited edition also. So go head and get a copy now. Buy 2 or 3 if you want. Just don't miss out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jake is special, July 16, 2004

You have to be a complete moron to even compare Slipcock to Cannibal Corpse. Cannibal Corpse is faster, heavier, and more technical than anything slipknot can ever and has ever done. And you even suggested the new Slipknot album!! That's a riot! Go listen to some emo and stare at your shoes while you cry if you're going to listen to that. This is the most violent and the heaviest band in existence. Their cover of "No remorse" is better than Country-tallica's version, how sad is that? In fact every cover song on here is better than the original because the Corpse is that good. I suggest this sample EP if you're just getting into them, or check out VILE.

All right, this isn't as killer as the infamous, Hammer Smashed Face EP, but not a wash out either. Out of the Cannibal songs on here, Demon's Night is my favorite. It almost sounds like Cannibal went straight metal on this track, but still sounds incredibly heavy, only the way they can do it. The Possessed (Confessions) and Metallica (No Remorse) covers are what stands out to me on this EP. Possessed? Hell yeah, Cannibal churns out a brutal rendition, but Metallica's No Remorse?? Never doubt this band. The Metallica cover is equally as crushing as the Possessed. If you liked the Hammer Smashed Face EP, then grab this one before it vanishes and the used ones wind up selling for way too much.

5.0 out of 5 stars great..., March 14, 2005

i bought this in a pack with wretched spawn and i love it...great stuff alongside six feet under and cattle decapitation. I get a lot of poeple telling me that corpsegrinder isn't as good as when barnes sang. i disagree, barnes is good for six feet under and fisher is good for cannibal corpse period. Also, checkout gore obsessed, awesome cd...

4.0 out of 5 stars 2. Please enter a title for your review:, January 10, 2005

I was, at first, hesitant to pick this up. I thought, at only 6 songs, it wasn't worth it. But I read the reviews posted on here...the "Metal Fans" reviews...Not that electronic music lover dude. I have no idea why he would even listen to this if he "likes electronic music". Not saying you can't be into all types of genres, but why bother with this if you knew you would hate it so much? It doesn't make sense, and bottom line, you're review wasn't helpful and it was a total waste of time. For me to read, and for you to write.

Anyway..I bought this, and it turned out to be a really good buy. If you're into Death Metal even a little bit, you have to respect Cannibal Corpse, and i think you'll like this. Personally, i always listen to the samples on here first. They're not the best, but they're free and it gives you a pretty good insight into how the song/album sounds. On this CD, track 6 is Brutal \m/ So is Demon's Night, and the title track Worm Infested. They are my favourites.

And to Jake, 'Corpsegrinder' doesn't just "Grunt into a Microphone". It's the style of play. I don't get why some people are so against Death Metal. The vocals are the way they are, as it totally fits with the brutality and heaviness of the music. Slipknot at times, Corey Taylor, his growl is almost quite the same. Although for some reason, ever since AFTER 'Slipknot' was released, they've gone alot more Nu-Metal, and Corey's vocals are just lame.

Anyway, this isn't the point of this review. The point of my review is, never write-off a CD because it hasn't got that many songs. I nearly did, with this one, but i'm glad i bought it. It's pure Death Metal. If you see it, buy it! \m/ It's a great E.P

Why are you gonna come in here and write a negative review for something you only heard once. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. You're probably a 14 year old little f@ggot who likes Slipknot. So go die. Cannibal Corpse will kill you beeotch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worm Infested is worth the money, October 26, 2003
This review is from: Worm Infested (Audio CD)
For started this is a great EP Cannibal Corpse released, with a very interesting cover. The few songs on here are very heavy, but for some reason it seems to fall a little short from a perfect rating from me. The song entitled The Undead Will Feast just doesn't have a good beat to me. True it is one of the heavier tracks with beats, but the drumming seems to get uncalled from after a minute into the song, but for a few seconds. Finally they did add No Remorse to this EP, incase you didn't get a chance to get the limited edition of there last release. Not the best of song to choose from Metallica, but fans of Metallica might get a kick hearing a death metal band playing this song.
