Awesome game that started life on PC and was ported to N64,PSX, and Dreamcast. All new backrounds,voices, expressions and returning awesome weapons (holy grenade,concrete donkey,armageddon)

There are 35 missions in a single player campaign, for every mission completed mission you get money to buy special weapons,stages,hats,headstones,and missions...

Private matches don't function correctly at all, and there is a very very long list of known bugs. If you're interested in this game, do yourself a favor and wait until a patch is released to fix it.

Private matches don't function correctly at all, and there is a very very long list of known bugs. If you're interested in this game, do yourself a favor and wait until a patch is released to fix it.

Some (not all) of the bugs:
1. The game crashes CONSTANTLY.
2. You can only play Forts in public matches.
3. In public matches, you can't kick players from the game, and you can't reserve slots for friends, so it can be near impossible to get your entire party into a game without having to quit and remake 10 times.
4. The floating worm bug? Almost every game a worm will float in the air after taking damage until it is his turn and then he suddenly falls.. if he takes damage or dies during the fall, you just had your turn wasted. Thanks!
5. The invisible timer on the landscape/map setup screen is annoying as well. If you're gonna restrict the amount of time I have to pick a map using this crappy system, at least tell me how much time I have.
6. When you trip off a mine while on the rope (not dropping anything), and another worm goes into the water, you will get detached from the rope automatically.
7. When editing a gametype, if you set the rope ammo count to infinite, it will be set to ten in-game.
8. When using lightning strike, it doesn't show the health of the resurrected worm.
9. In rare instances, the attraction magnet can sometimes attract mines and will not make them stay somewhere permanently. This makes the game never stop so that the next turn can go on.
10. Sometimes, the avatar from the game lobby gets frozen onto the screen. If and when it does happen, it happens to the host. New: It can also happen to clients.
11. I can confirm that this "sticky edge bug" happens. I've had it happen because I was going to slide off of a ledge, but a dud mine prevented me from going anywhere, and was slightly on top of my worm. I was stuck between the mine and the edge and the turn did not stop.
12. I've only had this happen once, but a holy hand grenade landed in a small puddle, it played the "hallelujah" sound effect, then disappeared (due to being in water). After that, it played the same sound effect after every turn. This was on a team forts game.
13. When a worm falls on a slanted/vertical area after the opponents retreat time has ended, it plays animation, calculates the damage then the worm falls again. It can't calculate until the opponents turn, thus making the opponent lose his turn. I've done this twice now, and it seems the factor in this glitch happening seems to be the fall height/retreat time.
14. The magnets, when repositioned (keyword "re") before a match, does not update the location for all players. The "aura" and the magnet are not in the same place, and sometimes the magnet graphic isn't even there.
15. When throwing a holy hand grenade, if it lands in water and manages to bounce it self back out to land, it will play the hallelujah sound, but not detonate.
16. When a crate drops and lands on fire, and a worm gets hurt by the explosion of the crate, the game will stall, and do nothing. It calculated the damage, acted like it was passing on to the next player, but it didn't. It just sat there. Similar to the effect when a mine meets an attraction magnet and doesn't stop. I've only had it happen once, and it is hard to replicate it due to lack of control where packages spawn.
17. Even when deactivated, the camera centers itself between a magnet and a metal object.
18. When restarting a game, any currently looping sound effects will continue to loop forever until that sound is heard again.
19. Even when a scheme is set to have more then one round, it sometimes returns to the game lobby anyway.
20. When a sheep lands directly onto a mine, it gets stuck. I've only had this happen once.
21. Save games have been known to reset/corrupt/delete themselves spontaneously. Everyone I know with Worms2 has encountered this bug.

I don't understand how anyone can release a game like Worms when the online multiplayer - the way most people will play the game - is broken. I love Worms and I bought this game on release day. If I had known that Team 17 released a worthless broken product, I would not have bought it. It is absolutely impossible to start a 4 player private match. I've wasted several hours just trying to play with 3 other people with no success. It is possible to play with a 3 person match, but its barely worth waiting the ridiculous load times. Also, sometimes there is up to about a 10 second lag. How can this be for such a simple game? You'll hear the person you are playing with say, "Oh MAN!!", then about 10 seconds later you will see them accidentally jump in the water. Completely unacceptable.

NOTE: Contrary to the reviews published months ago when the game first came out, Worms 2 works fine for me. Since Team 17 and Microsoft are constantly updating games my guess is that the issues mentioned here have been resolved via a patch.

If you are a fan of the previous Worms games then you will love this update. The game play is the same but with new weapons and twists in the campaign. My favorite update is that explosions cause fires to burn in select areas after you blow up another worm! If the enemy falls on or stands on the fire they will burn in the fire losing 3 points each second until they somehow move off the fire (which happens as the worm bounces as they burn.) Since fires burn for several turns some areas close off during the game. This adds a whole new aspect to the game.

One thing I don't like though are the new speed and puzzle levels in campaign. Just give me worms to blow up!

Fans of Worms should definitely purchase this game!

I wanted to share that the game has been patched. This is a list from Team 17 of what the fixes are in the patch:

* Fixed issue whereby user would lose all save data if the hard drive was moved to another console
* Fixed hard locking issues when generating landscapes bought in the shop
* Fixed issue where you could get a regular soft lock if a mine attracted to a magnet didn't come to rest
* Back flip input slowed down to stop incorrect jumps harming the player
* Air Strike was incorrectly hitting for 65 this has now been capped to 50 and damage spread has been correctly fixed
* Fixed a Leader board exploit awarding "billion" scores after disconnect exploit stopped
* Strict NAT users were unable to ready up in a lobby, now fixed
* Exploit fixed - Player can no longer use the ninja rope after deploying a weapon
* Fixed bug where first player was not selected randomly in online matches
* Fixed host migration issues in 3/4 player matches
* Forts and Rope Race matches can now be played as Private games
* Fixed an issue whereby fire punching the ceiling would result in the worm falling through the landscape
* Fixed bug which made crates in Forts matches only land on the right hand side
* Fire will now only burn the landscape between turns - this stops players losing their turn due to fire damage beyond their control
* Bunker Buster was hitting slightly to the right of the aiming reticule - this is now fixed
* Super weapon probability in crates reduced - Chance of Donkey removed from forts games
* Fixed an issue where you couldn't move the camera while your opponent had their weapon panel open
* Fixed an issue where sometimes worms were spawned in onto a mine at the start of a match
* Fixed an issue where sometimes the placing of Magnets would be out of sync between client and host
* Fixed occasional non functional magnet and magnets likelihood of flying around the screen erratically after being hit
* Fixed ability to place a girder anywhere on the landscape - the useable distance for the girder has now been reduced
* Dragon ball collision increased to stop it missing enemy worms at close range
* Fixed an issue where bringing up the Guide during online games caused slowdown
* Fixed an issue where strike weapons would appear in cavern landscape crates
* Landscape choice forced on host incorrectly after 10 seconds this now correctly waits for 30 seconds before forcing the decision
* Probability of vertical landscapes in Ranked matches was too high - this has been greatly reduced
* Fixed an issue where some players Avatars remained on screen obstructing play during online games
* Fixed an issue where some weapons/utilities SFX would loop at the start of every turn if the game was restarted during them being played. Most obvious example was the HHG.
* "Likes the Drink" achievement could be gained incorrectly by killing 8 worms in a single blast in the firing range
* Pressing jump while fire punching resulted in a "super" fire punch - this is now fixed
* Sheep now correctly travels down tunnels instead of bouncing on the entrances
* Fixed an issue where team names were not displaying on "Your turn" screen
* Missing particles added to Holy Hand Grenade
* Damage display font will no longer incorrectly scale larger on certain shots
* Tidied up the start of Online matches where Worms would be placed twice at the start of the game
* References to WOW 2 Leader boards (Maggie's Drawers & Valiant Failures) Removed
* AI teams are now using the correct speech banks in the campaign
* Spelling mistake - Incorrect weapon names in collected crates

They took worms, enhanced it some more, add all the goodie weapons we all love, and now we have worms 2 armegeddon... visuals are awesome...
