Fun game but not the best,

I liked the worms games and when I saw this game I thought I might check it out. It really is not like the other Worm games at all. It is more like a puzzle game. I like puzzle games so thats why I got this game. The object of the game is to shoot the colored blocks that are above the screen. If you like puzzle games than you might want to get it. But if you like the Worms games don't get this because it is not like a REAL Worms game.

I give Team 17 credit for trying but this is just garbage. Why would you take an award winning formula and destroy it? Worms World Party was, and still is the best worms game yet, and it had just about zero changes from it's big brother Worms: Armageddon. This is frustrating, childish, and unbelievably retarted. The upcoming worms title, Worms 3, will break the ice and create a whole new gaming world for us all. Wait for it to come out Summer of 2003.

Worm's Blast is already out for computer and when I purchased it I expected an newer version of Worms World Party, or Worms Armageddon but it is an entirely different game. Worm's Blast is more of a puzzle game similar to BustAMove, and tetris. You must match the colors of the bricks up while being a selected Worm Character. Not my favorite game but that is just becuase it is not Wormish.!

Worms Blast is a spin-off of a puzzle game called Bust-a-Move (sometimes known as Puzzle Bobble). However, this adaptation brings new carnage (and frustrations) into the tried and true puzzle formula. If you didn't like Bust-a-Move you WILL NOT like this game. Trust me, it's nothing like previous Worms installments. And while the game has many shortcomings, once you look past them, the game begins to take on a slight charm. Granted, the one-player gets really hard really fast, but the two player mode (even against the computer) is amusing at best. Still, not the greatest of games. Egg Mania is, by far, a much better puzzler, but for a CHEAP price, Worms Blast is okay. However, the PC version is better. Its graphics are more remeniscent of the Worms franchise, AND it's easier to control. Take that into consideration.

When I first played Worms Armageddon on Nintendo 64 I was addicted. That game brought endless hours of Multiplayer Mayhem. So naturally when i heard that a game called Worms Blast was out for Gamecube I bought it immediately. . . WITHOUT CHECKING THE REVIEWS. Man what a waste of money. This is not worms people. Its a game called, "bust a move" with worms as the main characters. I would not recommend any gamers to acually buy this game especially true Worms gamers. My opinion is that its not even worth a rental. (but you can be the judge of that). Just go download Bust-a-move for free and save your money for a real game.

Worms Blast is a good game. Though the other worms games are more fun in the view of how you can use your team, Blast is a fast-thinking game, and is absolutely NOTHING like worms 2, 3d, armageddon, or the original. The previous review basically says the rest of it.

"Worms Blast" is not what a fan of the "Worms" series would really expect. It is not the traditional "Worms run around and blow each other up" kind of thing that you'd expect from a Worms game. Instead, Worms Blast goes the "Puzzle Game" route. It is...different, to say the least. The new form of Worms is not a free-for-all explosives match. As I said, it is a puzzle game, in the style of Tetris. To start, it doesn't take place on little destroyable islands, as the previous ones did. Instead, your character is on a boat in the water. The characters you can choose from are either Worms (only 2, though) or weapons from the "Worms" games (like a sheep, a skunk, and an old lady, who were all weapons in earlier games). So anyways, your character is in a boat (the type of boat changes for different characters), and there are all these various blocks and spheres over his head. They are all different colors, and you have a Bazooka that has different colors. The way it works is that if you fire a Bazooka of a color at a block of the same color that block and all same color blocks attached to it will disappear. If the block and the Bazooka are different colors, all the blocks in the blast radius of the Bazooka will become the Bazooka's color. You can knock down crates with weapons like Giant Squid (used in Multiplayer to attack your enemy), Shotguns, Lasers (instantly fry through blocks), Dynamite (sticks to blocks), and Grenades (throw them and hit A to detonate). It's cool what they did with this. Even though it's not the same as other "Worms" games, as with the "Final Fantasy" movie, it's not the same, but it is good in its own way. The sound in this game is not really that good. I mean, there's some Tropical-sounding music, and the characters speak (albeit not in really interesting ways), but the quality isn't very good. The graphics on this game are a bit better than the sound, but not by much. There's Cel-Shading, but not much. The only good Cel-Shaded graphics involve the weapons and explosions. There is Cel-Shading on other things, but it isn't as good. Overall, this game isn't that great for special effects, but as a puzzle game, it is pretty good. It gets a 7/10.

The Worms Blast game start off fun, but gets progressively harder. Sometimes, you can't even beat the level. But this game is bad, because some levels are quite impossible. That's all.
