Join together with friends and other Worms™ Clan Wars players to form a fearsome team; name your clan, design your own emblem, promote other players to act as leaders and officers. Enter your clan into the league and fight together to make your mark on the leaderboards. Nobody wants an empty trophy cabinet! Story Mode’ adds a ton of variety by introducing physics based contraptions for the first time ever. A plethora of interesting machinery spices up the gameplay, and makes solo Worms™ much more fun! The single‐player game isn’t only about dealing death and destruction, it’s also about negotiating tricky swinging rope bridges and rescuing friendlies from death defying traps! The player spends much more time playing, and much less time waiting for their A.I. opponent to take a shot.

I have gone through all four generations of Worms games, starting from the first, where the worms were little more than a few pixels on your screen, to the glorious (and still best) second (Worms Armageddon and World Party are the kings of the Worms universe). I even stayed with Team 17 during its attempt to go 3D, which failed like so many other 2D-games-turned-3D (see: Lemmings, for example).
Then came the fourth generation, with Worms Reloaded as its foremost title. Now this was a game that gave me hope. A return back to the roots, with a few new weapons and gimmicks, better graphics, and even the old voices were back!
However, it was also with this game that Team 17's trip downwards actually began.
This trip downwards culminates in this game. Let's go through everything one by one:
First, the interface: It is much more complicated than it ever needs to be. Honestly, the interface of the second generation games was clean and simple. Nowadays, the weapon selection takes up the entire screen and you generally never know where to look for what.
Second, graphics: You would think that there was an improvement over the years, but only in technology. Not in design. The worms now don't look nearly as cute as they did before. With absurdly long, folded tails (which only appear some of the time though) and weapons explosions that actually look worse than those used in a game that came out 15 years prior! Sure, you have more realistically looking flames and fires, but this makes everything get lost in the detail.Read more ›
THIS IS IT, i promise you... The water physics alone almost make the ride worth it, but factor in 4 totally different worm classes, Tank, Brain, Soldier and Scout and the return of Full and COmplete control over every aspect of your own stage and rules/weapons setup...
The first time you blow a wall and see water rushing in, cascading "naturally" according to gravity, you will be in love... When you try to use the ninja rope the first time, you will Cuss aloud. But then you will hope they fix it later and enjoy the teleport lazer and much improved mortar.. Really, scaling back the power of the ninja rope is the only single bad chink in this masterpiece.... Get it now...
I did my research before the time. I went to our local stores to see if I could play the game before the time to see if I would enjoyed or not (but they did not have the game as the game has to be purchased over the internet).
The problem with researching something on the internet is that many-a-time when people do not enjoy something, they do not take the time out to send a response and the net result is that the positive results far outweighs the negative results.
This game is a brain numbing program. No skill or intellect is needed to play this thing.
What makes the whole experience even worse is that, when installing the game, there is a program that is installed with it, which “connects” to the makers “server” telling me that there are new games to download etc.
I cannot imagine this game making it to the big leagues.
