As many other good books, this one is, i think, one of the best (maybe the best) for understanding the theoretical part about worries and where they come from. As a psychologist, it helped me to understand better and to open more my awareness.

Unfortunatly, the practical part is very weak. Common suggestions about exercise, music, meditation can relieve a bit but not solve the problem.

When psychologists will understand the immense power of Emotional Freedom Techniques (Eft invented by Gary Craig), accept the astonishing results that this technique allowed to reach both physically and mentally (for example on Vietnam Veterans) and will start to use it with the psychological knowledge, than these books will really help people to heal themself.

Till then, the frustrations about what the books promises and can't keep will unfortunatly not do very much about human suffering.

Anyway, i suggest, as i did, to read the book (the theoretical part) and to tap with eft whenever you feel strong emotions. That will really make changes!

Ever since reading Karol Ward's first book, "Finding Your Inner Voice" I've become so much more aware of how interconnected our thoughts are with how our bodies react. Her new book is the perfect follow-up to this concept but you definitely do not need to have read her first book to use and appreciate, "Worried Sick." Her writing is so clear and concise, and after working the steps and practicing the exercises laid out in this book I can honestly say I have seen a huge change in how I react to situations that previously would have had me in an emotional tail spin. I find I am much calmer and even my sleep has improved! I highly recommend this book.
