This is a wonderful chain of stories from Loewenstien's childhood. The child in the book lives in a child-reality that is totally accurate. I highly recommend it.

A moderately entertaining coming of age novel that also talks about coming out. I grew up in the same town, and didn't recognize it, but then the author was on a very different journey than I was. I could have done with more detail and more insight into the inner life of the protagonist.
