This review is from: Worse Than Global Warming: Wave Technology (Paperback)
I have been tracking chemical and electromagnetic abuse of our atmosphere now for more than three years. I ordered this book because its product information indicated the book focused on the wave technology and dangers inherent in it. It does. I like very much the author's style and straightforward presentation of the technological and scientific facts in the book. I will read it again for information and insight. However, that said, the author spends a great deal of time advocating a connection between the present day geoengineering (and all the danger that creates) and a mythical (she obviously believes real) Atlantis society that had acquired the same/similar technology, e.g. electromagnetic manipulation. I tend to support the existence of Atlantis and was much impressed by the cultural anthropological (not scientific) approach taken by Ignatius Donnelly (sp?) in his book on Atlantis. But, this author's vision of Atlantean technology and the consequent war and destruction of Atlantis I find somewhat fanciful. Now, that is not to say that it may not be so. We have precious little hard evidence and must keep an open mind. This book, however, could have been beautifully written and presented the same scientific, empirical and technological facts and argument without trying to connect the past to the present. The threat to our earth and our existence from geoengineering, electromagnetic weapons and such, is enormous. Besides being a retired lawyer, I minored in physical anthropology in college. I found much of the information and argument presented about Atlantis' technology difficult to accept. This made the book somewhat less than what I had expected. Of course, the author is free to write what she believes are the critical concerns and the evidence which support same. I truly thank her for her work and research. I believe the book has very valuable facts and perceptions, and I will read it many times, particularly to absorb more of the scientific detail. I was very favorably impressed by the author in general; she is independent, tenacious, insightful and intelligent. I suspect as an airplane pilot, she is also intrepid. Please do not take the above comments too negatively; they are my honest reaction to the book and as such, when asked to write this review, I believe I must include them. Even if I am reserved about accepting the theories of Atlantis and India, I found her presentation interesting and forthright.

The author states that she took something like 20 years to gather the information in this book. Anyone can gather all of the information in this tiny book in about 1/2 an hour using the Internet. I was also disappointed by her attempt to feed me New Age speculation and Bermuda Triangle stuff, and threw the book away before I finished it. This book is for someone who changed the channel during an American Idol commercial break.

This is a fun book to read if only to clarify that there are folks out there far more paranoid than you are... Well, far more paranoid that I am. Through that lens, the book is enjoyable. Through a more scientific lens... Well, science wouldn't put up with this type of "research."That said, I did find the book entertaining and, at points, it challenged my belief systems and presumed knowledge. In the end, though, I'm afraid the author's case is weak. |
