This is one of the black metal bands that is the base of the style. They are the classic black metal. They have mastered it over time. This is a dark, gothic album with a few fast tracks and a few piano fill-ins. The album is balanced perfectly though to some people it will seem that the music seems the same, but you have to listen to it a little bit and be more experienced in the black metal area. this is a must buy for all crazy fans and old-school black metal heads. it is an awesome creation and a great debut album.

Boring,

The songs on this album are not bad. They aren't exactly good either, though. Most of them plod through a poorly produced Satanic atmosphere with a few highlights here and there but nothing that would make this album worth more than one listen every few years or so...
There is almost nothing on Worship Him that appears to precede any of the band's later efforts, including my favorite album by them so far, Blood Ritual. The only "song" that comes close is the instrumental "The Dark" which has enough variations to keep your interest at the very least. They save this gem for the end, though. The album does pick up on "Morbid Metal" and another instrumental, "Rite of Cthulhu". The rest of it is slow and, well, boring. If you want to know Samael's roots, you might be better off with Blood Ritual. If you like their more experimental later works, then stay away from this. In other words, unless you want a complete Samael collection, don't pick up this record. Everything they do on this is done better on Blood Ritual.
