Book Description

October 1, 2006
They don't make 'bad' cars any more, right? Well, maybe not, but there have been some real clunkers in years gone by, and this is the first book to celebrate them in all their awful glory. In this new edition, Giles Chapman presents to you "The Worst Cars Ever Sold", containing hundreds of rare pictures of these unreliable, rusty, hideous-looking and just plain mad machines, and thousands of fascinating and entertaining facts about them - some will surprise you, others you'll be all too familiar with. This book will take you back in time to when the family jalopy never failed to let you down, or that banger you bought from the local paper revealed its true character the moment you drove it - behold the worst cars ever sold and enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Odd and interesting, September 5, 2009
This review is from: The Worst Cars Ever Sold (Paperback)
A very British book. Most of the cars in the book will be unheard of to most Americans & Canadians. Even I was stumped by one or two of the vehicles and I know a lot of obscure cars. If your enthusiast of automobilia, or need a gift for one, this is a good choice. Some of the snide comments by the author were gratuitous, but a good read over all. Some good photos of of the vehicles, a tiny bit of infomation, and an interesting overview of dull cars. Enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worst cars to whom?, July 30, 2008

Actually somewhat tongue in cheek, the book is modern smarmy. Many of these cares ARE the worst. Others - well, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Interesting for a little while, but not an in depth look at car makers or car design. You may not have even heard of some of these vehicles!
