Book Description

Together, they’re magic. Now to capture it in a bottle…

Worth It, Book 3

For once in his errant life, Rhett Worth is ready to prove to his older brothers he’s more than good looks and a woman-melting smile. Except he’s screwed up. And it’s about to hit the fan as he prepares to tell them he’s failed to deliver the master perfumer, Michel Durand, to create Worth Luxury’s signature scent.

Then salvation walks through the boardroom door, all wrapped up in a petite, seductive package.

Gabriella Durand is prepared to beg the Worths to give her capricious father another chance. Instead, she finds the devastatingly handsome Rhett Worth offering it to her as if he’d planned it all along. And Gabriella, hungry to emerge from her father’s shadow, jumps at it.

Soon they’re in Maui to hunt for the perfect scent…and find it in the tropical breeze that washes across their entwined bodies. Now the pressure is on to capture that passion in a bottle—before they let love complicate the delicate mix. Before a whiff of betrayal threatens to destroy everything.

Warning: The last of the Worth brothers, he’s the wildest one of all. Expect lots of challenges, much yearning, plenty of vulnerabilities revealed—and lots of macho Alpha behavior on the hero’s part. Don’t worry, though. He’ll be begging for the heroine’s love before the end, we guarantee it.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“Erickson sets the perfect stage for love in the world’s most romantic cities, making Alex and Tessa’s quick romance plausible, plus steamy lovemaking and a looming subplot help carry the story along to a surprising yet gratifying conclusion.”
—Library Journal on Worth the Scandal

“Ms. Erickson knows how to write a compelling story that doesn’t allow any room for distractions. This book was hard to put down and kept my attention from beginning to end.”
—Long and Short Reviews on Worth the Risk

Worth the Risk a really well fleshed out story—there was so much more to it than just the love story between Gracie and Hunter.”
—Fresh Fiction

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth It October 18, 2012

I love this series and have been anxiously waiting for Rhett's story and author Karen Erickson did not disappoint! Rhett Worth is the youngest Worth brother trying to live down his womanizing reputation as he oversees an important business project. He is to secure a world famous perfume creator, Michael Durand for Worth Industries but he gets his daughter, Gabriella Durand instead. Gabriella has followed in her father's footstep but is inexperienced both personally and professionally. Rhett and Gabriella are instantly attracted to each other but Rhett wants his brothers to take him seriously so he has promised his brothers as well as himself that he would not mix business with pleasure. That is easier said than done as you see Rhett struggle to keep from getting Ella into bed. I enjoyed Rhett's developing relationship with Ella whom he has shown great kindness and tenderness to; his true feelings for her are displayed in his every actions even though he has a difficult time verbally expressing them. Ella was a kindhearted, vulnerable heroine but strong and passionate when the occasion warranted it. The dynamics between the brothers are complicated even though they all love each other. Rhett doesn't feel like he measures up to their standards and his relationship with each of his older brothers is different. I liked the interaction he has with them and with his sister-in-laws Tessa and Gracie. I also enjoyed the friendship between Ella and Tessa, who knows how it feels to be surrounded by the strong and powerful Worth men and helped Ella feel more comfortable. It was great to see all the family members again and their reaction to the perfume fragrance that Ella created was priceless and had me grinning. There's a surprise in this story which has me wanting more in this series!

Even though Worth the Challenge is the 3rd book in the Worth It series (a contemporary romance series about three dashingly handsome brothers and how they find love), it was my first encounter with the Worth brothers, and oh what an encounter! *dreamy sighs*

This book is Rhett Worth's story, the youngest of the Worth brothers, the irresponsible playboy one. Or at least that's the old reputation of his that Rhett is fighting to change by showing the world and his brothers that he has changed his ways and he is worthy of trust and responsibility. To achieve that he wants to make the project that was attributed to him (creating the first Worth perfume) a smashing success. Here's where Gabriella, our heroine enters the scene, as she is the perfumer he wants to engage (in more than just the professional way *winks) to create the scent.

Both Gabriella and Rhett were wonderful character: Rhett was irresistible: he was smooth and charming, warm hearted and tender, but what made him adorable and had me chuckling every single time was how this suave playboy blurted out such silly and at times even insulting things to Gabriella when his intent was the exact opposite I also found it unjust how he was branded an irresponsible playboy when he took this project so seriously and how much he worried about its success. It was clear that he has matured and grown up since his womanizing younger days and his brothers and the world hasn't noticed it yet or preferred to keep him in his neatly labeled box. So it was heartwarming to see him ease up and become an adorably playful lover with Gabriella in the bedroom. It was obvious that he became so carefree because he was feeling relaxed and happy.

I bought this because I I'd read the other Worth series book. Not one of my faves, kind of a generic romance without much sizzle.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Worth Brother!!! October 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
As posted on The Smutty Kitty

5 out of 5 Licks

Rhett is my absolute favorite Worth brother. I have been waiting for his story for what seems like forever. Poor Rhett hasn't always been serious about Worth Luxury and even though he's been actually trying to change over the last few years his brothers aren't so quick to believe the change. I love the idea of creating a perfume and a story around it. The idea they come up with is so intriguing I kept trying to imagine the scent in my head while I was reading it. lol The sex was of course amazingly hot, but they also had their sweet moments where I thought my heart would melt.

The twist at the end ensures us at least one more book in the series (I'm holding out hope for more)! Since it's a surprise I can't reveal the twist obviously but Karen is such a tease she did save it for the very, very end of the book! lol So if you like your men a bit on the brooding side with a bit of a troubled past and women who are shy until they meet the right man to bring them out of their shell then you need to buy this book immediately.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE this series! October 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I've been waiting for Rhett Worth's book, as much as I've enjoyed the first two books in this series there's always been something that's drawn me to Rhett. I don't think it's his bad boy reputation, I think it was because I knew that something bigger was lurking behind it. I also knew that when he met his match, he'd fall hard and fast. Those that fight it the most usually do and Karen did not disappoint. I'd also like to point out that even though Rhett is referred to as the "bad boy" of the Worth brothers, he somehow managed NOT to get his girlfriend pregnant, so way to go Rhett for knowing how to use a condom!

I absolutely adore Rhett, he has this tough exterior but deep down he's really a lost little boy that wants everyone to take him seriously. It's tough when you are labeled (with reason) and when you try to reinvent yourself those closest to you, the ones who should support and believe you, seem to think you are incapable of change. I'll admit I wasn't too fond of Gabrielle at first but as the book went on, she proved she was exactly the right person for Rhett. I love the way she supported Rhett unconditionally and he returned that support. In fact, out of all the brothers I feel Rhett was then most mature when it came to his relationship with Gabriella. Considering what a ladies' man he was in the past, it became evident early on his feelings ran deep and while he was afraid to admit them out loud he at least recognized them and worked to accept them. While I understand Gabriella found it hard to believe Rhett's intentions, she seemed to work overtime to brush him aside. The girl has very obvious trust issues, which are totally understandable, but at times I found her somewhat infuriating and I personally wanted to pop her upside the head a few times.

The heroine was too naive to be relatable. And since the hero's sex drive apparently influenced everything he does, he was also unrelateable. Read more
