Worth More Than Rubies

Every Christian woman has a desire to become the Proverbs 31 woman, and what an accomplished woman she is. This lofty goal might seem impossible to many, but not to Thomas. The desire to be a stay at home mom, coupled with the necessity to contribute to the family's income, were incentive enough for her to take a giant leap of faith to start her home based business.

The book reads as a diary of sorts. The reader can easily identify with the challenges Thomas faced as she ventured into the world of women in business. The reader is also encouraged as the author faces each one, to come out on the other side stronger, and with even more resolve to press on. This serves as inspiration to all women who are a bit fearful to take that step to realize their dreams to be a work at home mom, and assurance to those women who must continue working away from home that they have not forsaken their family.

I have no doubt that by the end of the chapters of this courageous woman's life, her children will surely "rise up and call her blessed."

"Worth More Than Rubies: The Value of a Work At Home Mom" is an honest, straight from the heart, discussion of the value of a mom being at home during the child-raising years, and also contributing significantly to the families income. Kathie writes with a warm and friendly style, the book is easy to read and inspires you to consider your own worth. With practical information and advice, suggestions about what kind of home business you can run yourself, and a fun-loving attitude, "Worth More Than Rubies" should be on every work at home moms bookshelf!

This is one of the best books of it's kind that I have read. Most books on working at home focus on the business aspects, or view working at home as a sideline, while More Than Rubies looks at the human, family side of the issue and the added value that a mother who sees herself as 'worth more than rubies' can have.
